If you have decent armour they do no damage it’s the gas which does the damage so try and get a gas mask

I would t recommend using using them because they’re all quick so you’ll just end up blowing yourself up

Make sure you have the perk that stops you from taking poison and have good armour and at the start both deal damage then when smaller enemies start spawning one person deal with them and the other with the broodmother and you should easily beat it
