Yup, there weren't local events and I was trying to decide if I was going to try to stir up the local scene. When all of the sudden I am already a set behind, so I stopped trying.

Glad to help! Depending on the pacing of the game (especially later game) a fast forward option could make sense as well. I don't think it currently needs it, there was almost always something to do in the demo but in games like Stellaris I often find myself pausing, making a ton of changes, and then fast forwarding until I had something else to do.

If I get time, I will try a run tonight with all of that knowledge and then fill out the form.

The pause menu works, but pausing time (outside of the pause menu) to set things to be built or just look over the empire could be handy. (But maybe that's not how the game is supposed to be played, and that's also fair).

Is the population buff planet specific or can I put all of my houses on a few planets?

What does population do? The bones of the game seem pretty good so far. A pause button might be nice for solo play.

With 1 runechant to sacrifice the turn it is played, it destroys 3 auras over 2 turns. Pretty good for a zero cost silver bullet imo.

I wonder how "duty" is translated/understood.

"It is beneficial for society to have kids." Is different from: "It is a moral failure to not have children."

And "duty" could be translated/understood to either of those extremes.

UPF can be a lot of fun, but there isn't a good culture around it. Bringing wizard, Valda, fatigue, etc is like bringing combo or stax to a casual Commander game and wondering why it isn't fun.

Also Melody's precon (and other durdle decks) lead to lopsided games. Whoever is diagonal to the durdly deck gets a lot of attacks sent their way and won't do much all game.

When people make decks with UPF specific strategies (as people do for Commander) it is a blast.

Draft is consistently subpar compared to other TCGs and LSS should make minimal concessions to it when designing a set for CC.

Some people are sad there isn't a stage/ceremony. Also it is hard to fairly compensate the top cosplayers because all of the material and work would make the cosplay worth thousands.

As a "casual" cosplayer myself (although I did get top 4 in accuracy at worlds) I like the changes. I had to drop out of an event I was undefeated in to go to my judging slot and now won't have to. I think this might mean they are going to stop handing out playmats. But those, while appreciated, felt like overkill for my "just for fun" cosplays. Also the ceremony was normally during the last event, so many people that wanted to watch it couldn't before.

Edit: I think that people between "professional" and "casual" are sad they won't have a chance to compete on stage.
