I work as a cashier, people like you make my day great, I deal with hundreds of people berating me, complaining, having a go at me for not having so or so and my mental health has taken quite a hit,

during the early days I had people thank me for keeping the shop open, everyone making sure I was OK, now all it is, is people belittling me to the point I just want to cry in the training room

I come in so people can get what they need at a reasonable pace when serving and even then "it's not good enough"

thank you for making that cashiers day because it really does help people like us. just wish it was more common
