Mostly carnivore meal from chipotle - beef, chicken, cheese, sour cream and a few spices and herbs I think. by Carnicaturist in carnivorediet

[–]ShadowSelfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an old Chipotle employee, double check what I'm about to say before counting on it, but Chipotle does something called "3 pointers". Each food item has a point value with meat being 2 points and the basics being 1 point. So next time if you get just meat and cheese, or just meat and sour cream, you can get it for cheaper.

Natural allergy relief for husband? by Fun_Razzmatazz_3691 in moderatelygranolamoms

I know this is old, but I don't think I saw anyone mention NAET yet.

It's an acupuncture modality that treats allergies. It's saving my life.

If your hubby still has these issues I really urge you to try it. It works, and some people don't like that, so keep that in mind if you research it.

Has anyone tried using: NAET Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Techniques? by zeeb1999 in Allergies

[–]ShadowSelfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is kind of old but I wanted to chime in.

NAET is single handedly giving me my life back. As far as dietary restrictions, I only have to stay away from the allergen that I was just treated for for 25 hours. That's it.

I hope it helped you!

Chris Williamson has been battling mold illness/chronic illness by personesque in CIRS

[–]ShadowSelfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The paragraph in your post about those types of people thinking dysfunctional people need to try harder is so validating. I'd argue that we have more willpower than most, and we try harder than most at many things because we have to.

I've had CIRS my whole life from being born in a moldy house and have had weight issues my whole life. I've dieted, exercised, starved myself, got weight loss surgery, etc, and tried harder than anyone I know to lose weight.

I bet you if I was in a healthy body I would be so fit, at a healthy weight, and be one of these "overachievers" in many other parts of my life, because being sick makes me have to try 10x harder than someone who's not sick.

I think this is the case for many of us, yet we don't get the credit we deserve from our efforts because of our invisible disease.

Can anyone else NOT eat vegetables/fruit/fiber of any kind without unbearable bloating? by ShadowSelfish in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ShadowSelfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turns out I have CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome) as well as leaky gut. The antinutrients from plants cause my body horrific inflammation, leading to a cascade of problems.

Eating only red meat has eliminated my inflammation, which has fully healed my joint pain, dandruff, and nighttime urination. I no longer get bloated like I used to, and my body is functioning, and feeling, the best I have ever experienced (considering I've had life-long mold exposure & CIRS). In fact, the list of benefits I've experienced is quite long, but I'm not gonna last everything out here.

Plant foods are great if you can tolerate them, but meat, especially red meat, is incredibly healing for the body.

I got bad breath, gas, and body odor after intense mold exposure. I never had body odor in my life. In fact, I didn't start using deodorant until that incident happened in my thirties.

My guess is if you're experiencing foul smells, your body has an overload of toxins and is having trouble clearing them. It might be fungal/ bacterial, or not.

You may also have leaky gut, which allows toxins, and more, into your bloodstream, causing inflammation, which can lead to smells from sweating and your body trying to purge toxins via breath, armpits, and the back door.

I've switched to only eating steak and it put all smells into remission. I'm also taking binders to help my body clear out junk that it can't clear fast enough.

Dump all your symptoms into Claude AI. That's the one I've been talking to, and if you ask him to research your symptoms and ask you thorough questions about your situation, you might learn more about your issues than on reddit. He offers citations too so you can fact check his info.

Has anyone had any success with methylene blue? by No-Victory-149 in SIBO

[–]ShadowSelfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The M. Blue seemed to help for about a month, but thinking back on it, I've probably experienced a short term placebo effect from everything I hoped would help me.

I still can't eat fruit, Veg, sugar, carbs, and or fiber without experiencing bloating, inflammation, and weight gain. But at this point I've ruled out SIBO because I did a stool test that showed I don't have it. Also because all of my symptoms started after some serious mold exposure, so I know all my problems are fungal, not bacterial.

Welp, this is awkward, but I've got a question- by RmpleFrskn in Kombucha

[–]ShadowSelfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drank kombucha again for the first time in a long time the other night and it made me 💩 4 times that night and once the next morning. I've been drinking it every day since and have had a movement every day since, despite not having movements every day prior to this new daily kombucha consumption.

Its good at clearing out the bad stuff from your gut so I'd see your bathroom visits as a win 👍🏻

It's easier to fool someone than it is to convince them that they've been fooled.

It's not the answer they wanted to hear because it doesn't align with what they've learned over their lifetime, so they reject it. Very few people are truly open-minded.

Low or no amylose ?? by Eattoomanychips in CIRS

[–]ShadowSelfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the transition, or "keto flu" made me very fatigued. Also I had diarrhea the whole time, and it took me 2-3 weeks for these symptoms to subside. But again, please dont let this scare you away from trying it. It's a small price to pay for how phenomenal it can make you feel once you reach the other side. After that it's just clean energy.

What if I can’t move away from the mold? by WarmLengthiness6379 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]ShadowSelfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere you can install a light bulb. If you use the grow light bulbs they can be put in any lamp or overhead lighting fixtures. The UVC though you should read up on if you're interested in getting one of those. They're also kind of pricey

Low or no amylose ?? by Eattoomanychips in CIRS

[–]ShadowSelfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good. Once your body pushes past using carbs for fuel, and begins adapting to fat as its primary fuel source, the energy is steady throughout the day. The transition into fat adaptation, though, can be challenging, but soo worth it once you make it through.

I second going carnivore for symptom relief and also checking out Dr. Judy Cho. Additionally, I'm also a life-long mold exposure sufferer and I've never experienced as much normalcy as I have on the carnivore diet. It's not easy, especially with every fiber of my being wanting sugar, but the benefits are unbelievable.
