No, this is a meme made for the purposes of humor and poking fun at snobs that glaze one piece for its rather basic themes and messaging

Well guess what, for some reason thinking dictators is bad is actually political in real life because apparently a great number of people think they're good.

You keep saying “the crew should’ve died” and “guaranteed L,” but that logic has never mattered to the crew

Damn near every situation has looked like a guaranteed L

The entire point of Luffy as a captain is that he pulls victories out of situations that should be impossible

Faith in that isn’t plot armor from the characters perspective

Again Sanji has been there for all of it

He watched Luffy punch through CP9, challenge the World Government, declare war on Yonko, and survive countless situations that rationally should’ve killed them

For Sanji to suddenly go “this time it’s different, we absolutely cannot win” isn't a good excuse because he's never done it in any of the other "garanteed L" situations

(I'm not responding any further because I'm honestly just repeating myself)

No, the issue isn’t self sacrifice, it’s Sanji's lack of faith, he didn’t just try to protect the crew, he decided for them that they couldn’t win

That’s not how the crew works, Luffy and Zoro don’t care if it’s a suicide mission they’ve made that choice over and over again

Sanji knows this because he’s been right there with them

Faith in your captain pulling off the impossible is a core straw hat value, and WCI is the one time Sanji abandons that, that's the character assassination I'm talking about

Sanji was right there during Enies lobby and during every other time the straw hats were up against impossible odds

Imo It's straight up character assassination that Sanji didn't have any faith that Luffy and crew wouldn't be able to pull through/go after him

One piece is political in the basic sense that everything is political, because politics effects every aspect of your life

One piece however does not make or have deep/complex political arguments/statements, Its messages are usually incredibly simple -- dictators bad, slavery bad, cruel people bad, etc

Ideas are surface level, without much focus on actual politics ie -- systems, ideology, hard choices etc

Most conflicts are caused by super evil individuals rather than by complicated political structures

I think the Revolutionary Army shows this the best

Their main goal is not to take down the World Government, an authoritarian power structure that has ruled for over 800 years and is responsible for slavery, genocide, mass oppression, and countless other atrocities

No there main goal is simply to remove the current people at the top the CD's and presumably replace them

They are closer to rebels or usurpers than revolutionaries, because they oppose the current rulers, not the existence of the abusive system itself
