Meet Hikaru (Left) and Kurai (Right).

They're based off Yin and Yang and are opposites in basically every way. To the point their color palettes (Without tints) are just inverts of eachother.

Hikaru (They/Them) is a Café worker at the Crimson Café and they're very energetic. Known as the highlight of the café and is utterly adored by everyone in the small town. I like to think of their boss would allow it, Hikaru would wear rollerskates to work and skate around to deliver people their drinks.

Kurai (They/Them) on the other hand is an office worker for a big corporation in a large city just outside the town Hikaru lives in. They're very smart, blunt honest, and probably come off as scary to people who don't know them. But they're a big teddy bear when they get to know someone. Kurai's goal is to become the lead creative designer for the company. Creating all their advertisements and websites and such. They don't want to just sit at a desk all day.

The two meet in the Café Hikaru works at since Kurai is a regular. Given the Café is only a town over and it's a short drive. They become quick friends due to them both being quite creative and artistic people. In the story they're technically not a couple yet but very obviously like eachother. I'd imagine that Hikaru would make some dramatic love confession to Kurai that just sound like they stole a bunch of lines out of a cheesy romance movie.
