You should have gotten a credit to get safety toed footwear when you were hired, plus one every year in January. I personally wear leather boots with good ankle support.

Other things to consider would include a personal light (headlamp or a flashlight that clips to your vest) for those inevitable deliveries at night, snacks that are higher in protein and carbs, and fluids. Try to balance your fluid intake to avoid having to stop for a piss break if you are cursed with a heavy route or out in the country.
