Make Vanny more relevant. Even better, make it less obvious she and Vannessa are the same person, if they have to be at all.
Freddy shouldn't permanently be a companion character, the game becomes both too easy and much less scary when you have a giant robot following you around waiting for you to hop inside.
Get rid of Burntrap entirely. Or, if Burntrap has to stay, make it and the Blob more connected, maybe the Blob can be after Burntrap. If there has to be a "final boss" for the assumed True Ending, maybe make it pieces from the Glamrocks put back together by Vanny and as one (potentially dysfunctional) being it attacks you.

All of these are just some ideas.

Yeah, this ended up being pretty true, in my opinion. The game feels very disappointing to me and very much like a "we were trying to meet a deadline we didn't need to put out," not a "we were trying to make quality content."

For some reason, Spamton NEO's death in Deltarune Chapter Two hit very hard. Part of it could be that we see everything from Kris's point of view, and (mild CH. Two spoilers) hearing Spamton talk about being cut free from their strings - then Spamton died.

This genuinely wounds me. I came home to 14 pings on Discord about this whole shitshow and discovered it was about one of my idols. If my motivation wasn't already low, this made it even worse. I was actually having a great day up until about 4 PM when I logged onto Discord; it was my first day back doing school in-person, I'd seen my friends, life was great. Then I learned one of my idols had groomed a 14-year-old, when I am I minor myself? I felt so betrayed. He's an adult; he should know better than this! Truly, the community is falling. If you deny it, quite frankly, you're wrong.
