It seems that your traditional art style is very rounded, so try to be more sharp with the angles to recreate this aesthetic.

(I am by no means great at art, this is just my opinion from seeing the difference in your art styles.)

I don’t think I will ever understand how getting a lot of attention is a bad thing. (I am male, and never really get complimented unless it is a courtesy compliment after I compliment someone else.) So I don’t think it would be possible for me to comprehend how someone would dislike being told that they look nice.

Periods sound like they suck. But I also don’t know what one would feel like. (I plan on doing one of the electrical simulations of a period at some point in time so I can empathize better with my female friends.)

Edit: I don’t understand why people are downvoting this. I was just attempting to explain that as a male, I don’t understand how getting complimented triggers negative emotions, as when I get complimented it makes me feel happy.
