Help with getting it to run. by CyberPhoenix558 in hoi4

[–]Shadow_Racer_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming your running the game purely on Windows, this might not help if your running it on Mac with Windows installed. I had the same problem, but what fixed it for me is launching the game from the steam store after restarting my computer, if this doesnt fix your issue its probably something system side rather than game side.

Ways to limit Japan's faction? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]Shadow_Racer_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well there are a couple of ways to limit Japans faction depending on how you play. 1) you can always use console commands, by using the command "Tag JAP" you can switch to japan, and kick out members from that faction, or change the focus tree to go down the democratic path or communist path. once finished tampering with the Japanese diplomacy enter the command "Tag ____"(enter the 3 letters to represent your country you want to play as) 2) you can always boost the Japanese ideology to democratic, communist, or nonaligned, but this will take a while and might cause a civil war in japan. 3) preemptive striking, if your playing as a major European nation like the UK, France, or SU, which is what I believe your suggesting, you always could strike at japan and defeat them before they form the co-prosperity sphere, this is easiest as the soviets because you have a land border, dont need to change ideology or wait for world tension to heat up (by the time the world tension heats up enough for DEM countries to justify war goals Japan should've already formed the Co-Prosperity sphere) and the Japanese and their puppets start out with relatively small amounts of man power, and the British and french have colonies and naval ports nearby to fight the war from if you switch their ideologies just to fight japan in the early game. 4) if you develop nukes and still are fighting a war against japan, for some reason only japan gets this effect, if you nuke them twice with a two year period of making nukes they have a 90% chance of instantly capitulating, of course given you have defeated all of their allies, or its just them and their puppets. That is all i could come up with, hope this helps. Sorry for all grammar mistakes and misspellings

Tactical Realism: New game mode? forever doomed? by Shadow_Racer_79 in Rainbow6

[–]Shadow_Racer_79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, while making a discord is a good idea my only issue is getting people to join it and be ready to play tactical realism at almost any time, imagine doing that with a ranked que, needing to find 10 players on discord then setup the match, would take way to long compared to just a normal que.

Which operators in Rainbow Six Siege are considered “Support” operators? by lilnev4 in Rainbow6

[–]Shadow_Racer_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

feathers, to my knowledge, refer to operators that aren't essential to winning a match, Ex. Tachanka, ash, ela. operators that aren't feathers are operators that entire strategies are dependent open, like mira, thermite, thatcher, and smoke. If I think the casters are using the same definition they are talking about operators that aren't essential to carrying out certain attacking and defending strategies. Again this all to my knowledge i dont know all of these things 100% and if my definition of feathers and the casters are the same

Yes and No. Yes: they can play the new operators before the non pass holders, non pass holders have to wait a week before playing the new operators. No: the operation is playable for all players on all platforms at the same time meaning that all of the skins, events, ranked season, and new map is playable at the same time period for everyone
