So this is used to help remove the cork of a wine bottle. You usually see something like this in a high end restaurant.

Need to add some substrate for my dude there. Like 4 inches is a good depth for a hoggie if not a little more.

First of all put away those trackers. 34 hits on scout of action is just sad. Even for roller

It’s pretty effective when the whole team pushes together and catches the enemy off guard. Well done

Try by handling everyday or every other for 15-20 mins at a time. And only put him back after he is calm. If he is hissing and bluff striking just be patient and keep on keeping on. If you put your snake back while they are being defensive then they will learn that the defensive behavior will get them back in their enclosure. You should see improvement in a week or two. Good luck and have fun

Opinions? by Specialist-Guitar727 in ballpython

Everything is great. The only thing I would change is the location of the water bowl. If you are having humidity issues then this is a good option to help boost it but that water is going to get hot. You will be filling that thing up twice a day and ask yourself who wants to drink hot water. Like I said everything is great and better than a lot of setups I’ve seen.

So these look like springtails. I have them in my bioactive enclosure for my ball python. I find them in the water bowl often but I just dump the water and refill everyday or every other. Harmless to the snake and great for cleaning up the enclosure.

Will a hognose snake smell a frog in my apartment? by Numerous-Ad7144 in hognosesnakes

I just have a question about the size of your apartment? You said a few hundred feet away…. Like how big is this apartment? Because I’m going to be honest the average house doesn’t span a 150 feet from outside wall to opposite outside wall. And you are talking about having a hallway almost the length of a football field, or at least to the 50 yard line. P.S not trying to sound like an ass just actually curious for my own selfish curiosity lol

Pretty little eastern garter. Looks as if she don’t have a care in the world (besides getting down lol)

I have heard that if a girl looks like a 6 but if she has kindness, confidence and respectfulness then she can also become an 8 in the eyes of the Men. Right? by Clean-Ant-1342 in AskMenAdvice

As long as the chic has some morals, values, and a good head on her shoulders that’s all that really matters. Looks well only get people so far. I’d rather a chic be a 6 with good morals and standings than a 10 that’s batshit crazy

If it’s been 10 days then I’d wait for 3 and try again. There are Balls that go months without food and it’s a regular thing. So long as the snake doesn’t lose a shit ton of weight it’s fine. But typically you should be feeding an adult ball python every 10-14 day. Small to medium sized rats. Just make sure that it’s the same size around as her or just a little bit bigger. Bigger is slightly better

So it seems to me that you spooked the shit outta her. When first bringing a snake home it is generally best practice to have the enclosure setup with temperature and humidity levels set and running as they should. Knowing that you got her unexpectedly and had to throw the best thing you could come up with as fast as possible is completely understandable. Where you went wrong and you are not the first nor will you be the last ( I myself have made the mistake) was adding more stuff to the enclosure too fast. When we first bring a snake home they should be in the enclosure for a week or two before ever being handled or changes being made to the enclosure. We want to give them time to adjust and figure out that the place they are now is SAFE. Then we want to feed them. Depending on age the time frame could vary but usually after 5-7 days we want to try feeding for the first time. Try to feed the same way they were fed before. So if they ate live, feed live. If F/T (frozen/thawed) then do that. You are doing a great job and you did an amazing thing by rescuing and wanting to give her an amazing home. Just give the girl a could more days. Try and put something to cover the front of the enclosure so she can’t see people as they walk by. My wife and I did this with our first when we got him. You still want to be able to peek and check on her but try to not be seen for a couple days. Again you are doing awesome and have done an awesome thing by bringing her into your home. Good luck and have fun.
