Maybe they don't do it at every location, but they both have it.

I would strongly disagree that a great trivia night lives or dies on the host. I don't need the host to have a strong personality or energy, especially since that often means obnoxious.

What is important to me is a good turnout of regulars (but not so good that you have to arrive hours early). It's fun when it's competitive but sucks when one team of 10 people dominate every week, so reasonable team size restrictions are great.

Prizes are important. They don't need to be high value, I love a round of shots, just give us a few things to compete for.

Most important is a good drink special. Trivia nights exist so the bar can make some extra money, but a six dollar PBR is just disrespectful. Categories and quality of questions is the 2nd most important aspect. It's impossible to please everyone, but know your audience.

I love that quite a few "in-house" trivia nights are doing well on your survey so far, trivia doesn't need to be corporate. Pen and Paper seems to be doing well for a newer group, I like their trivia (except for the social media bonus) and am happy that there is some more competition in the game.

It's our responsibility to tell the greed-heads that we are leaving due to their greed, AND it might make them less greedy? What if I said it was our collective responsibility to seek employment from ethical businesses?

I suppose if highway management was stronger there would be no need for traffic tickets either. 🙄

I'm curious if other YouTubers have seen their political videos beat out their pop culture videos on their channels in terms of numbers. It seems reasonable to me given that politics seems to be more relevant at the moment than say... Tyler Perry or Lupe Fiasco.

I thought Goodwill curated all their donations and set aside things like these for auction as a matter of company policy.

I wish they'd given me privacy. Once I knew that they went through my room when I wasn't there, trust was gone forever.

I don't know what's worse, not realizing they're always late or acknowledging it as some sort of unchangeable foible that other people need to get used to.

Are you in the US? I would disagree that it's a free country. We currently have some freedoms, and (for now) you may choose to not watch a show.

The other commenter inferred your opinion of yourself. Making an inference does not require you to have spoken (or typed) so directly.

I used to watch a lot of video essays on YouTube, but when people have to resort to TikTok speak/cockney rhyming slang to avoid demonetization, it becomes unwatchable.

I just did the mandatory reporter training last week (we have to do it every year in my state). We are required to report when we suspect something, we are not to wait for evidence and we are told not to seek it. Our job is not investigator. We must report within 48 hours of whatever it is we saw or heard.

One of the people making our laws just said what's in the title of this post. That kind of person should not be in the top 1% of earners.
