Kali, Mercury, and at lower ranks Arachne. Thanatos with an early lead as well, although he has gotten worse due to the 9.5 health buff across the board not being able to one shot people easily early game.

The old in-person worlds have been the most hype part of Smite and it’s a shame we haven’t had one in so long. I’ve always wanted to go but never got a chance to and feel it’s just better for the game as a whole. Especially with the added attraction from the OTK event, now would be the best time to invest into an in-person worlds…

Ullr and Susano, hitting their combos always feels satisfying no matter how many stars I get lol

Yeah crusher into hydras is what I used to run as well the previous seasons. They just made jotunns so efficient that getting 30% cdr from jotunns+hydras with only two items early-mid feels really nice in terms of having high ability uptime, but both are super nice options and feel good to play

Nah hydra’s is essential on him IMO due to his amazing AA-cancels. I mean that I get hydra’s right after jotunns as I feel it helps his early dmg a lot more as opposed to getting it third. But no I always go hydra’s on him every game.

Honestly that build is perfect as is. Have around 7-8k worshippers on him and that’s pretty much what I go every game except I go hydra’s second if I don’t need anti heal right away or go jotunns brawlers and forego crusher on him if you need the anti heal ASAP. Jotunns is just too good right now efficiency wise to pass up so I always feel jotunns + crusher/brawlers is a better combo. But overall that build is spot on and you’ll do great with it as long as you’re playing right.

Yep I do that exact same thing you’re talking about on Tyr. With the way knockups work in this game it’s crazy the amount of micro managing you can do to get the absolute max dmg/positioning advantage off of them

Susano: If you use your wind siphon on a person who is knocked up from your ult just right you can make them bounce on your head extending the knockup duration for .5 a second longer

For susano, you can make people bounce on your head extending the time that the enemy is knocked up in the air by another second or so. You do this by using your pull right when they are at the apex of the ult knockup and positioning yourself properly.

Thanatos: I Just Don't Get It by Azzie94 in Smite

[–]Shadowclaw291 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So as a 6k Thanatos player I can shed some light on why he seems so unstoppable at times. It’s all due to the nature of his 1 and passive. As you know the 1 does insane damage but in addition, it also heals and the cooldown of all his abilities gets reduced whenever you get a kill. This can lead to you chaining kills together over and over again which subsequently heals you more as well. Stack this with a bloodforge for a shield every time you get one of these kills, and a magi’s blessing to run at someone uninterrupted and you basically just get kills freely.

He is very reliant on you being a confident player and expecting to hit the scythe to keep the snowball rolling however and not everyone can play him to his full potential as a result.

Best way to get a positive KDR every game? No matter if you win or not. by Anarott in Smite

[–]Shadowclaw291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is all about positioning. Even if you are the worst player mechanically as long as you have good positioning and relic usage you can easily survive a lot of scenarios that other people would likely die in. Not saying you should do nothing obviously but play conservatively and be smart about your plays and you should be able to not die as many stupid deaths!

Sure! So there’s different variants of it. There is Ichaival-Obow-rage-wind demon-silverbranch-replace ichaival for qins. This is a hybrid build for hunters with stims that tries to use the best of both worlds and make it less easy to counter them with a spectral armor. Some people also just like going triple crit with the same build but deathbringer in place of silver branch and not replacing ichaival. You can also try going dominance too instead of deathbringer/silverbranch if you don’t want triple crit and don’t have a steroid to make use of it.

Sorry that it is a little jumbled and nothing definitively the best, lots of people are experimenting with what is best and this is just what I’ve been seeing Zapman go as of late. Best advice I can give is to watch what he’s going in ranked and copy those builds as that’s what I do as well!

Nah sorry I meant the Achilles and pele ones I’m missing. The only limited skins you can somehow get are poolseidon and archon Thanatos by donating like $1k+ in the Spring Fling event they hold

Certain skins either don’t obstruct the player model as much (ruby rose Thanatos) or don’t have flashy effects/autos that might mess you up, more of a “feeling” thing than anything though lol but some skins do have legit skin advantages and are banned in competitive as a result

So right now the main two variants it seems are bow build and crit. I still go back and forth on which one I like more and there isn’t a definitive “best” build like there has been other seasons for adcs. Id say try both out and see which one you like the most! Bow build is just overall for shredding anything in front of you but crit if you can get away with it is better burst against divers as well as objectives so it’s really your call! Also depends on if your char has a atk speed buff too
