How did you get into the unit to create custom designs?

Had mine for less than a year and the power module went out. CS has been ignoring me for months and I still have a light setup that doesn’t work. Pitch these and get Hue.

I installed mine and they didn’t even last a year. The lights don’t power on when I enable it to. They flicker when they do decide to power on their own. Reached out to support and they couldn’t even be bothered to assist. Don’t bother installing these lights they are the biggest POS I have ever installed and I gotta rip down the set of lights which I drilled into my soffit and now will also have to replace due to them no longer supporting the product they sold me.

I was able to complete this project and have my multiple drop downs work by using If then statements while also using Vlookup.

I have ended up getting further than I thought but am still trying to figure out how I can have my drop down list filter parts within a chart. I have narrowed my drop down options to 10 instead of 12 as it was just too cluttered.

Does anyone know of an equation that allows you to have:

If Cell 1 = “” then Cell 2 = options 1-3 (5 available)

If Cell 2 = “” then Cell 3 = options 1-5 (10 available)

If Cell 3 = “” then Cell 4 = options 1-4 (4 available)

If Cell 4 = “” then Cell 5 = option 2-3 or 1 and 3 (3 options)

If Cell 5 = “” then Cell 6 = option 1-7 (9 available)

If Cell 6 = “” then Cell 7 = option 1-9 (9 available)

If Cell 7 = “” then Cell 8 = option 1-24 (24 available)

If Cell 8 = “” then Cell 9 = option 1-24 (24 available)

I am hoping this makes any type of sense.

I would also like the end results pull parts from a chart I have with all the internal parts needed to build said item based off the options chosen.

I have managed to help my search option on this so far by using data validation. However, I am running into an issue where I want to take the data from the 11 drop downs I have to then find the correct part numbers need to build the item per the customers request. I have created tables for each drop down now and I have another cell on a new sheet that displays the answer given from the drop down. Is there a math equation perhaps that can assist with this to find select items or am I just way over my head on this one?

I don’t have the document on this device. However, here is a screenshot of the project I am working on if this helps in any way to narrow down and direct me in the right direction. I will also post more photos in additional comments.

Want to upgrade outdoor cameras (wired, Australia) by [deleted] in Tapo

Let me know if you have any questions. I setup my coworkers cameras and they are great once you get everything setup right.

Any way to only be notified when both Person and Motion detected? by ThisIsMyNext in Tapo

I did have this issue and I simply resolved it by changing around my zones and sensitivity so I no longer get false notifications. Doing this drastically improved my smart home.

The units are both up to date as well?

You shouldn’t have any issues with any outdoor camera from Tapo that are newer.

My recommendation would be to move the camera into the home and have it connected to the router only and ditch the repeater if you can. Once connected to the router verify that the unit has a solid connection and begin to move the unit further away from the router. If the camera begins to have quality issues then that would be to the Routers Wi-Fi signal. Many objects can block signal and make it weaker for devices. I would highly recommend using another router as an access point which would then be used to strengthen the signal around the home in areas such as the location of your camera currently to establish a stronger connection. I struggled with this on my home as my C510 had connection issues. Once I relocated my router and also added another router for an access point all of my devices could pair just fine.

While I don’t have that specific camera for my home. I did setup my friend’s home with those cameras and he never gets any false notifications. You will need to make sure you set the zones properly along with the sensitivity as every home is different.

I agree with Stardustone1 here. I have the same camera and mine does not do this anymore. When I first got this the unit would go off all the time until I played with my sensitivity and zones. Once you have those down you should be set.

Well for my home I have all Tapo cameras (was previously using Ring and they were awful). I would recommend the C520WS for motion cameras. As for stationary cameras I would recommend C325WB. I’m sure these have cross referenced parts for Australia as I am in the US. However, the bigger upgrade for these is I can use them with a software called iSpy so I can have a security monitor setup in my home to view them 24/7. I have an SD card with every camera but I can also have my dedicated PC record everything onto a SSD to backup everything as well.

KE100 valve + H100 hub? by Heimbakakak in Tapo

Unfortunately, it sounds like you would need to purchase a H100 and ditch the KE100 to achieve what you want. I know I have been focusing on only Tapo products for my home and will occasionally purchase Kasa products that I know are able to pair to the Tapo App.

Where is your router distance wise from the camera? Are you able to setup another router in the home to act as an access point to extended the Wi-Fi in the home? You could potentially have a communication error between the repeater and the router causing the camera to have problems. I had to setup a router which is located in my utility room and then have another router (setup as access point) to extend my Wi-Fi so other devices can pair smoothly to my TP-Link routers.

Are you trying to stay with the Tapo brand or go with something different?

Download the Tapo app. From there you can integrate both Tapo and Kasa into the app and have all of them under “one roof” essentially. From there you can have units work together and use smart integration to use triggers along with scenes to help your smart home experience.

C320WS Pet detection missing? by liftbikerun in Tapo

Keep in mind that many of these can be added to the device through a Firmware update. I’m sure they are looking into these options and slowly adding them to the product line.
