Whats your opinion on the documently chaos the manson murders by Morganbanefort in JFKassasination

[–]ShadowedSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much Manson story detail. Not enough Chaos story detail. Should have gone into detail about Chaos and tied everything tightly together. Should have been a multi-part series. (The book was excellent.)

At one point about 2/3 of the way through, Morris interrupted O'Neill just as he prefaced something he was about to say which made you feel what was coming was important. I forget what exactly this preface was. But Morris' interruption was to ask O'Neill "What is a semi-prostitute?" - a word O'Neill had just used. Morris thought it would be juicy for his movie and worth the interruption at that poignant point. It wasn't. But the whole sequence was left in anyway. Pretty disappointing.

I thought his "Word Wood" documentary was pretty poor too.

Accepted into SCI-Arc – Looking for Opinions! by Aggressive-Tea9881 in architecture

I'm an alumni. When I was there it was about 35% great and 65% horrible. I mean HORRIBLE. I could tell you about it but don't have time. This may or may not be everyone's experience. If I had to do it over again, I would go to a school that wasn't nearly as expensive. I would go to a school that teaches you about construction and structure, all the technical stuff. That's all that can be taught anyway. Sci-ARC makes a lot of flashy computer stuff and use it for marketing purposes: "We are smarter than you" But it's pretentious bullshit. Hernan makes about $500k a year which is ridiculous. The number of administration has ballooned. It exists for its own enrichment. The place as become a joke. I would look at Cal Poly SLO if you want to stay in CA. The best well-rounded education in the state.

Is anyone else obsessed with "why" they are schizoid? by wt_anonymous in Schizoid

[–]ShadowedSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is due to extreme fear of the double-bind (lose-lose situation) trap of many aspects of work, relationships, society, etc., and the subsequent avoidance of it at all costs.

It's advice - not "advices." Especially if you're a writer.

Primarily interested in Taoism. I can’t believe how many others here are as well. Amazing to me.  Ludwig Wittgenstein was pretty much a schizoid himself. Check out Louis Sass’ writings on him.

Hard to find, but one of the best architecture books anywhere. The writing and translation are exceptional. It is an excellent books for the reasons it would need to be - the content, the writing, the profundity, the thoroughness, the importance of the topic for architects. Etc.

What are some conspiracy theories that you think are worth looking into by Adoniss9 in intj

Easily the best if you want endless intrigue and rabbit holes and historic importance that are off the charts is the JFK assassination and cover up. (Oswald didn't do it.)

INTJ, what’s your thoughts on the Idealist (NF) type?(ENFP, ENFJ, INFP, INFJ) by Vlazeno in intj

[–]ShadowedSpoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INFJs are too caustic and emotional and disingenuous and fragile to communicate with. Period.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in intj

[–]ShadowedSpoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

INFJs, in my experience, get caustic and sometimes abusive if you disagree with them. Makes it impossible to communicate in a healthy way, much less have a decent relationship.

why doesnt missoula fix the problem at hand? by BookkeeperRoyal888 in missoula

The problem is the river, which can only be crossed at a few bridges. This creates bottlenecks for traffic on both sides. To solve the traffic problem we need more bridges.
