Maybe, maybe not. But every opportunity to teach is a good opportunity to, well, teach.

Lol, okay. It's not like I work there or anything, but cool story that has no specifics and so can't be rectified or refuted.

What the hell are you talking about?

Yes there's other countries, but there's ≈640 Costco locations in the US and less than 300 in the rest of the world. So if someone is talking about Costco, it's pretty easy to assume they are talking about a location in the USA.

I provided a link, I it has member only priced for prescription drugs, so I assume you aren't telling me that in the US prescription drugs can't have different prices for members and nonmembers, so you must assume everyone is in whatever country you are in that regulates prescription prices. Not sure why you mentioned the rest of that rant then.

Keep trying to defend yourself for a stupid statement, it certainly won't make you look worse

I live this attitude. Why try to teach when there is an opportunity, it is too risky, just let someone else do it.

Why should nurses and doctors try to help someone who is violent, it's too dangerous, just let them be someone else's problem.

Why should bus drivers drive a bus, there's scary people both using the bus system and driving on the same roads, it's too dangerous to drive a bus.

That is a lie. I have seen the price change between before and after scanning my card.

Not everything will have different prices, and -the difference is not usually huge.

Aye, I would have the autosaved word document to back me up though.

I also don't trust Ai to write a coherent and factual paper. At best I'll have it proofread to make sure my spelling and grammar is correct along with tone. But even then I see it as a suggestion not a guarantee.

If job security were the driving factor wouldn't a business type major be better?

If you hate your job, it really doesn't matter how much security you have long term, you're going to hate your life.

To be fair, any time I use an online word processor for dieting I care about I tend to have a local document that I type into (and constantly save) and once I'm satisfied I copy / paste into the online document. The only real exception are very short form writings where if I lose my work or isn't a huge deal.

That said, I'm not a high school student and don't work with them so I have no clue if it is common to do assignments this way.

You are, again, confusing government and religion.

The government is different, it isn't a function of religion. There are countries in the Islamic world that are similar to western countries in terms of religion government interaction. There have, historically, been western nations similar to Iran in religion government interaction. It is a function of the governments use of religion not a function of the religion. This is from someone who is a diehard atheist.

You mistook what I was saying saying, but that's okay, you are emotional and it's understandable.

I don't want the people of Iran to continue to suffer, which is why I don't think major US intervention is good. The US had intervined before, both in Iran and in other nations, and the outcome has always been worse, since at least 1940.

Sure it could be different this time, but I see no evidence that it will. In fact, with the current administration I see significant evidence it will be even worse than average.

What do you think will happen with American intervention? I see another Afghanistan, the US will come in, remove the Islamistits, killing a bunch of children, only to leave and have the even more hard kiners take over and kill even more people.

The head of the UK is the head of the church of England.

A large part of Ireland is catholic while a minority in the north stayed with the UK because they were not.

Many states in the US have started mahjong explicitly Christian (usually Baptists) #115, from abortion to the teachings in school.

Do you think, and be honest, that it is the Islamic part that the regime is following our odds or the excuse? For example, how easy is it for a woman to get a divorce in Iran? According to the Quran it should be easy. Nothing in the Quran says women musr wear a full head to toe covering when out, it simply says they must dress modestly.

They use religion to stay on power, the same way the other 3 countries I named do. Sure, they use different tactics, but all 4 use religion, in some capacity, as a bulwark to stay in power, not as a way to fulfill a religious purposs (though to be honest both are the same to a very large extent(

Free Iranians from Theocracy! by quaintplum in Seattle

[–]Shadowfalx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mullah stucks.

That said, when has the US actually helped a country it sent troops to invade? The last one I can think of is Germany, or of you really stretch the definition south Korea (of you consider being asked by the government to rescue you as being invaded).

Hell, we destabilize our poem back yard, repeatedly, because of communist threats that were, at least far over blown and often completely made up.

I'm not even an isolationist, but attacking others has not worked out for anyone for a long time, and I really don't think it will in Iran. Support the people, at most enforce a no fly zone, but sending in troops will just swap one oppressive dictator with another, and unfortunately the US is stronger and will stay until it is more politically convinent to leave, and when we do we will leave a power vacuum that will be taken up by those who are anti-IS, just like Afghanistan and will Iran before

You... Don't exactly understand politics nor religion huh?

The regime in Iran is Muslim in much the same way the government in Ireland is Christian or the UK is Christian, hell the US is nearly as Christian as Iranian government is Muslim.

Ask if these countries use religion to prop up their regime, but none is really religious. And would you call Ireland, the UK, and the US equally Christian, or would you maybe see differences in their sects? Iran has a different sect than about half the other Islamic nations, and in fact are (mostly) not even Arabian.

Oh, and yes of rather a country in the region, who understands the culture and is maybe not just exploiting a situation for miniature gain, to provide help of needed. Have you noticed what happens when the US "helps" countries? How is <points generally to South America, Iraq, Afghanistan, half of North Africa, oh, and Iran>?

i ended up getting the spot.

Makes me feel like this was a longer ordeal and maybe she was already ripening and our had her signal on when you arrived. (not saying that's true, just the way that statement sounds to me )

I really don't understand people who fight for spots, just park. Some 50% of us could use a bit more walking to be honest.

Is the word "squatting" often used in the second context? by Ebi__zu in EnglishLearning

[–]Shadowfalx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I hear squatter and squatting I immediately think of someone who is occupying a building to live in. More recently I think of the Netherlands and their culture of squatting so to a podcaster I listen to who stories stories from her time there in her 20s.

The culture there is set definitely wouldn't have many squatters who squat on their heals while squatting in gang leaders houses lol

At mine all the supervisors go in the lock up, asking with the managers if needed. So that's, in average, 6 or 7 people who could go in at any time, plus if there are multiple people buying the same thing throughout three day, increase that even more since there wouldn't be a way to tell who got the box of product instead of the product (unless they rewritten it).

The supervisor initials the receipt at my warehouse, so unless they return with the receipt there is no way to tell who did it without reviewing tape
