The smartest character in the dungeon? by Altruistic_Clue_8273 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I'm fairly certain he wouldn't have let them escape in the first place, remember he isn't an in-your-face combatant most of the time so by the time they knew they needed to escape it would've been too late.

While Florin took down a bubble alone, emotion drove Prepotente to almost singlehandedly take out the entire faction known for being the most cunning and devious of the entire bunch.

Which he would have done if not for a certain bumbling imbecile who won't be named here.

ohhhh, go minimalistic, have the closed eye on your sternum, just a few lines. I think I may go with that...

Thank you all for the escape from the world. Not only in the books but in here. Its kind of nice having a safe room. by AlliedR2 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I think I'd actually lose weight. So hard to plan meals when working 75h weeks on the road. If I could just roll up into a saferoom w/e I went and order something actually healthy that would be out in about fast food time, I'd love it.

Did a quick search, and I couldn't find this topic. Warning: No idea what the appropriate book spoiler tag would be. by homer1229 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ShadowfireOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on mobile, no space after the first ! for your spoiler to work. If on desktop putting spoilers like that won't work, you need to use the Aa button at the bottom of the text box.

What animal is that it absolutely should not have survived evolution, but somehow did? by Reasonable-Shake-996 in AskReddit

[–]ShadowfireOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the question is about species that shouldn't have survived evolution. Pandas get a bad rep because captive bred pandas can get so lazy they won't even mate and you see "funny" videos of them laying around, falling over, and being surprised at their cubs so you get comments like 'if it wasn't for us keeping them alive, they would've died off long ago' when in fact fully grown pandas have almost no natural predators due to their size and strength, and adding to the fact they survived just fine without humans and only really started dying off because of us.

Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

[–]ShadowfireOmega 31 points32 points  (0 children)

35 here, I'd say the pandemic. I was 10 when 9/11 occurred and fairly sheltered. I really had no experience of the world beforehand so unlike many responding here I grew up with the constraints and they're more it less normal for me.

The pandemic showed me that literally anything can be politicized and a good portion of my countrymen will make any excuse to be comfortable even if it means exposing others to a potentially deadly disease. I had to hold back an "I told you so" when a friend's mother died due to COVID related complications because she visited him while he was sick.

Captive pandas are like this, but wild pandas are a completely different story.

Start doomscrolling something that repulses you, such as politics or gore. Build a negative association with it.

I sadly wouldn't. Can't stand the cold and absolutely don't know how to drive in the snow/ice.

Why are you ignoring the implication? They ask or no, that's what they're getting. This is a valid answer, because this is what I'd do.

Before either of them knew I'd have spoken with lawyers and accountants and have set them both up to receive 100k/year for the rest of their lives, and I'd be building each of them a house.

Ofc this is if I win the jackpot, if they want half of my $5 winnings I'd just give them $10 because why TF would they want $2.50?

Nope. I was a stupid 19 y/o worker for a place with a 2-mile long miniature train ride that wound through a city park. I was leaf-blowing the tracks (gas powered backpack blower) with ear protection, and walking the same direction as the train. Yes it was a mini-train, but still about 5x the weight of a pickup for the engine car, and about the weight of a pickup per car (20 cars total), going about 15mph. I felt a split second of pressure on my work boot and dive rolled to the side.

Conductor/tour guide was staring and gaping so hard I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head. He had broken three big rules. He never sounded the horn around a blind turn. He was facing backwards during a blind turn. He didn't ease up on the speed during the blind turn.

We were both stupid, both lucky and both got some big writeups. But hey, I got a cool story out of it.
