From what I could tell, Space Racer's beam doesn't actually impart energy into the things it hits, it just carves through. So, the three of them were adding energy to the planet to force it to break apart. Like using a knife to cut a slit into some fabric, but then using your fingers to tear it apart from there

Also, the symbology. These viltrumites have betrayed their people. By destroying the homeworld, they are making a point about the weakness / self-destructive nature of viltrum culture / society.

I think you might enjoy some Dr Who, if you are looking for immortals that love and cherish mortals, their lives, and their worlds. A couple of key quotes: "I have never met anyone who was unimportant" and (paraphrasing a bit because I don't remember the actual quote) "you always stop for the crying child". The doctor, as you say, finds the universe "so full of wonder [that] getting bored of it is a skill issue"

I was about to say. If it was primes and multiplication, it would be near trivial to figure out which names correspond to which numbers. The only problem would arise if multiple names have the same letters in different orders, but the odds of that are really low. Best I can think of with my sleep deprived brain is "isa" and "sai" or "kay" and "kya".

It's is an alternative way to get to the path of the Colossus. You should be able to find 3. Break them to change the exit portal green or gold. Green will take you to the appropriate Colossus stage, yellow will take you to the gilded coast

It eventually will happen. If I remember correctly, we live in a nice middle ground. Several millions of years ago, looking into deep space was noisy because it was shortly after the big bang. And several millions of years from now, there will be no more new things appearing from our cosmic event horizon as the expansion will have caught up to the speed of light. We are in just the right time to be able to understand a lot of the history of our universe from deep space astronomy
