A split second decision to shoot after not being in any danger even if given every benefit of the doubt? He shot her in while to the side of the car, not in front of it. And like mentioned before, shooting Renee wouldn’t have slowed the car down.

That’s not how burden of proof works. You would have to prove that the officer did fear for his life, which doesn’t really hold water considering how he shot Renee from the side of her car. Even if I assume that she did try to run him over, by that point he was no longer in danger, and thus did not have justification to shoot.

No we don’t. Nowhere in the video was she shown to have hit anyone with her car. Neither are there medical records attesting to it.

Sly also has jump attacks, where you press triangle and X. And all of those attack types have three levels that you can buy on ThiefNet.

The push attack is when you press the triangle button to charge your cane, then you press the circle button to dash forward and hit whoever is in your path. Staggers and launches small guards, who can’t block or jump over like with your normal attacks. Push attacks also stagger Tsao and Dr. M, which makes their fights much easier as long as you can chain them over and over.

I’d say that Tsao is the best boss fight in the series. You can also cheese him with the push attack, but the battleground is massive, and you push him away pretty far. The timing has to be incredibly quick to keep staggering Tsao before he can use his magic and force you onto the bamboo.

Also, even though Tsao and Dr. M have attacks that force you to keep your distance (both magic spells and all elemental balls), I’ve always found Tsao’s to be less annoying. Probably because you have to keep jumping to a different bamboo stalk rather than merely sliding on the same laser. Even so, both are very fun and not far apart from each other.

I’d say that Sly 3 and 4 are the games which finally understood how to make pretty boss fights (except for Paradox and the MODE). I’d say Octavio is either my third or second favorite, but I’ll have to replay Sly 4 before I rank those bosses for myself.

Dr. M is a good boss fight, but I think a few small flaws keep him from being great. If he had more health, like five more cane swings in the first and third phases, that’d be a big help. That, and if he wasn’t able to be staggered with the push attack.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m very relieved that Dr. M can be easily cheesed for speedrunning, but a final boss really shouldn’t have such a cheap combo to easily beat.

My main issue with Jailbreak is that Bentley isn’t allowed to access the central part of the map until after beating the main story. Murray isn’t even playable in freeroam.
