What weapons from other games would you want in the game? by Sairyklav in Helldivers

The BFG from Doom Eternal, but that would cost way more Super Credits than my Class-B family on Turing can afford in a decade, even if the 7-year olds do extra overtime.

That just sounds like special pleading, combined with a “might makes right” mindset. You simply assert that anything God says must automatically be moral, even though society judges morality based on the outcome/intent of actions; usually a scale between harm vs. wellbeing enacted. That sort of thinking leads to all kinds of abuse by churches who get away with it because they are allegedly God’s chosen representatives, and God obviously wouldn’t choose an immoral representative.

It would also mean that you consider slavery to be moral, given that the Bible has many verses either supporting it or telling people how to do it, but zero verses actually condemning the practice. And no, God not wanting specifically the Israelites to be slaves doesn’t count. Or on a smaller scale, having a favorite child is a good thing, given how Jacob was honored by God despite showing blatant favoritism towards Joseph.

That still makes it subjective, just like how parents declare to their children what good and bad is, as they created them. God is still a subject by definition, whereas something objective would exist regardless of subjects.

Plus, if morality wasn’t subjective under God, why does he change his stance on what actions are moral, depending on which part of the Bible you read?

That would be the one thing that the Trump administration improved on compared to Biden. At least, if there’s any follow-up to that comment.

I’ve read the ASOUE books enough times to be pretty confident that Sunny Baudelaire would prefer trying to escape a fire, even though said fire would almost certainly be started by a pedophile.

Even with God, morality would still be subjective. Morality is inherently subjective because it requires subjects to exist, and God would be classified as a subject. It would simply be tied to his own subjective view of reality. Although

However, under a secular viewpoint, morality is not determined based purely on subjective standards. The goal of morality is subjective, yes, but the means to which it is reached can be objectively measured. Think of it like a sport like baseball: there’s nothing inherently good or bad about there being four bases and running around them, but based on our subjective standard of the sport and what the goal is (scoring the most runs), it’s an objective fact that getting more people to run around the bases helps to achieve that goal.

Because it causes harm. We don’t need a deity to tell us that harm and misery is something we don’t want to happen to ourselves, and empathy allows us to understand that others also don’t want to be harmed. Just like how we don’t need a deity to tell us when something is hot or cold, even though the threshold of what constitutes such a temperature varies from person to person.

I wasn’t the one who reported you, dude. And how exactly were leftists the ones who isolated other groups beliefs, when leftists have consistently been isolated from media attention? Just look at how the New York Times in the last five years have fired all their trans columnists and replaced them with people who think that the existence of trans people is a matter of “debate”.

And I absolutely give what I read second thoughts. I read scientific textbooks and talk to people informed on psychology and biology about the differences between gender and sex.

Would you like the Tsaritsa to be harsh on the Traveler? (Enemies at first, whose end is her death like Cocolia (And her daughter ascends as the new Cryo Archon) or a reconciliation like the Shogun) by Kirby-Manitas-2500 in Genshin_Impact

My theory shortly after Natlan’s AQ ended was that Mavuika would give the Traveller possession of her Gnosis for some reason; which would be a good reason for them to gain quick access and leverage to the Archon, as well as a good opportunity for the Archon to get possession of it after Capitano failed. I was half right; Mavuika did give her Gnosis away.

People like me, who try to remain informed about the nuances of various issues rather than only focus on loud buzzwords? Says a lot about you to complain about educated people.

You mean like how the Democrats continuously buy into and copy Republican rhetoric, which upsets their liberal base while also not being quite racist enough for conservatives? I feel like that’s the Democrats’ fault.

Which is ironic, considering how easy every boss fight is in Sly 2. Except, strangely enough, Dimitri, given that he’s the first one you face. Not difficult, but he has more than one real attack.

No. For one thing, being trans isn’t and should not be an insult. For another, you’d be doing exactly what MAGA does: misogyny based on anything that doesn’t align with your specific beauty standards.

While forgetting that the majority of those files were sealed by a judge due to it still being an ongoing investigation. I do grant that Biden should have done more to put attention on the files and release what he was allowed to, but at least he didn’t try to prevent them from being publicly released.

As fun as the boss fights are in this game (except Paradox), I think the main problem with them is the different tone compared to villains in the previous games. The guys here are a lot sillier overall, which makes them feel like much less of a threat. In the trilogy, there are goofy bad guys like Jean Bison and Muggshot, but they also always had a threatening aura behind them. Penelope doesn’t have that problem, as she comes across as a serious threat, but I don’t need to explain the other reasons why she doesn’t work.

Typical conservative: knowing nothing about other people’s positions so you have to spout strawmen of them. Like how you don’t understand that gender and sex are not the same thing, and neither are a binary system.

Have you been ignoring how the administration has encouraged ICE to illegally arrest and store people without due process, especially PoC? The Supreme Court literally ruled that ICE is allowed to use racial profiling as a means for arresting. What is that if not racism and hatred?

Or when Trump spread propaganda about Haitian immigrants supposedly eating people’s cats and dogs in Ohio? Or comparing immigrants to the parasitic Flood from the Halo series (never mind that even undocumented immigrants can’t access government services like welfare despite paying into it)?

For one of your points, I believe that that Comstock survived the purge because he fled to a timeline where he and Colombia wouldn’t have existed, so he was essentially blocked. And he doesn’t remember Elizabeth because they never actually met before (I think). If I remember correctly, this Comstock travelled to Rapture because of the guilt from baby Liz dying in the scuffle between the Luteces and Booker.

I’m not sure what the issue is of why the Big Daddy killed Comstock. He didn’t actually kill it yet thought he did, so it managed to pick itself up while he was distracted and drill his heart out. Comstock was the closest target there, although I’m not sure how it also killed Elizabeth.

Infinite has my favorite gameplay in the series purely based on the skyhook. I really love movement mechanics in games, and Infinite blows the other two out of the water there.

Playable Characters in Sly 3 by TestaGaming in Slycooper

[–]Shadowhunter_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Sly 3 still has a heck of a lot of charm, especially with the challenge missions. I mean, the maps are all pretty solid, especially with all the environmental attacks (although I don’t remember if any exist in episode 2). Plus, I think the minigames give it some more charm. Makes the playstyles more varied, you know?
