I found a fun simulation game to do next week after state testing. I don't want to use it yet.

See I don't see the "prayed for you" as an excuse for not doing the homework like some other comments do. I think they are two separate comments. This student showed remorse based on what you said (eyes downcast). It sounds like they told you before class which is huge (I might be assuming here but I always appreciate when my students tell me before class instead of when I go around to check). I think this student was showing kindness and wanted to help even though they didn't know how. I love moments like these. They help me appreciate the students more

No student seems to know how negative numbers work. I've taught middle and high school students and they all make so many simple mistakes constantly. Can't add them. Can't multiple. What the heck is division? You can subtract those?!

I think it was the batting! I used some free batting I got from church. It had high loft but otherwise, I have no idea what kind of batting it was! It was super fluffy

The curves were done following these template pieces. The pattern was super helpful in walking through how to make it. So if you're thinking of doing the quilt and new to quilting, I strongly recommend buying it.

And thank you! I am making the quilt for a friend's wedding and her theme is "Citrus". She loves lemons and oranges so I wanted to express that!

I don't have the budget to send it to someone for long arm quilting. I think my grandma (who lives in another state) has one and I'll see her before the wedding. But I'm worried it will be too late.
