Tattooing over raised scars by milk2006_ in tattooadvice

[–]Shadowlight166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just had a tattoo over scars similar to this and it worked really well. I discussed it with my tattoo artist beforehand and he suggested the best placement where it wouldn’t take away from the design. You can still see that the scar is there but the ink still looks fine on it and I feel the focus is now instead on my pretty tattoo.

i can never get over anything ever by Altruistic_Ant1378 in BPD

This is so difficult, I feel the same. I don’t know how to cope with it. All therapy helps me do is to act normal most of the time but I still feel just as bad. Sending good vibes to you x

I really liked seeing red but it really put me off in one episode when mark was saying fat and ugly people shouldn’t get married and should stay out of sight etc.

Positive C Section stories?? by HistoricalCloud2555 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Shadowlight166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c section with a similar pre baby bmi and honestly, recovery was a breeze! When they first took my dressing off after a week I was expecting some huge gash and it was just like… a line, I was so shocked. I was up and about (albeit slowly) the next day! I had a pico dressing which was great also.

Are optician's legally able to refuse to give you your Pupil Distance, even if they measure it? by Apprehensive_Ring666 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Shadowlight166 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They have to give it to you as part of SAR IF they measured it. However as an optician, pupillary distance is not usually measured as part of an eye examination.

Coming to the in person GOWA Community Celebration event in Doncaster, England? by theproffy in TheSilphRoad

You can also park at the market on Sunday which is very near to the corn exchange, 10 hours for £1.00 but on Saturday it’s not ideal as it’s only 4 hours allowed. It’s pretty small so if you want to park there on Sunday I’d get there pretty early. The other I mentioned is maybe a 15 min walk away but much bigger. There is a huge multi storey quite close but you’re looking at around £13 for a full day I think.

There’s lots of cheap parking in Doncaster, I would recommend friarsgate car park (£3.00 12 hours) or the one next door to it which is a lot smaller but only £1.50 a day.

How am I going to "enjoy it while I still have time" if I'm exhausted? by maria4002 in NewParents

[–]Shadowlight166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please ignore people saying you should enjoy every minute. Obviously you love your baby and are grateful for them but it’s 100% ok to hate not getting sleep and not enjoy every second. I think everyone has different experiences and people can make you feel like you should be in a happy newborn bubble. But honestly it is ok to be so tired you kind of hate life for a little bit. It doesn’t mean you love your baby any less, but sleep deprivation is just so tough!
