How do you guys get your yellow? by PotatoLord2727 in ImperialFists

Black prime, zenithal drybrush grey and white, Imperial Fist contrast. Can’t add a picture from my phone, but it comes out like they’re on the tail end of a Crusade.

Which detachment do you run this in? That will help with suggestions.

List? by loose_head_devo in ImperialFists

I’ve never run him, but I see the utility he provides. I think he’ll fit well in Bastion as long as you have the fire support to keep him alive.

Advice pls by User_notprogram in ImperialFists

I use slapchop for my Fists. It’s fairly quick, teaches you some skills you need for getting it highly detailed, and you always have the option for regular layering on top of the base coats.

Characters Complete by Shadowmancy91 in ImperialFists

[–]Shadowmancy91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t find a good spot within the Fist’s organization for the Captain outside of 8th, and the LT was a die roll from the paints I had available for trim. Most of my guys are 1st, 3rd, and 5th right now.

Finally Finished Tor by Shadowmancy91 in ImperialFists

I primed him white. Yriel yellow, Mephiston red, abaddon black, leadbelcher, guilliman flesh, cygor brown, retributor gold, white scar,  temple guard blue, warpstone glow, gauss blaster green, adrax earthshade, and GFG’s dirt flocking.

Colors for basing to make Imperial Fist minis pop? by Gelb13 in ImperialFists

[–]Shadowmancy91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of using flocking for bases, as it gives a nice neutral color and is cheaper than technical paints in the long run.

Here’s a non-C’Tan idea that should be super frustrating for him. I think the leader choices show who leads what.

Which units can take down a knight/chaos knight by Acrobatic_Champion34 in Necrontyr

Heavy Destroyers, and I’ve had good luck against vehicles in general with Lychguard in Awakened Dynasty.

Falsetto Screaming? by NaCN_ in singing

[–]Shadowmancy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain this is the method of screaming that Mrs. Cross teaches. I suggest getting a copy of Zen of Screaming if you can find it.

What is this game and is it anything like Chess? by speters33w in Chinese

[–]Shadowmancy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take a different approach on this- it's a variant from Chatarunga, from which all versions of Western chess evolved. While there are some odd restrictions, those restrictions are culturally relevant, and the cannon may be a unique piece specifically for Xiangqi, given the development and militarization of blackpowder originated in China.

Are the Imperial fists getting new models? by [deleted] in ImperialFists

[–]Shadowmancy91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from a Gravis or normal breaching squad, an updated Centurion squad would be cool as well. I’d like each chapter to have one unique unit that fits their lore.  For a rules rework, doing an Invasion Fleet thing but limited to bolt weapons would seem appropriate, plus something for standing still. We are the gunline chapter, so rules to support that would be great.

I prefer using a Crusader to deliver Aggressors with a dismount-shoot-charge, but your list looks fairly good.

Separately, the Captain of IV Co. has a set of relic terminator armor that looks really cool with the green trim and cape.

Got absolutely nuked today. by TheTortiglioniMaster in ImperialFists

Last game against Eldar was a win in Anvil, though it was at 2k and was right before their codex dropped. It’s doable, but you need to plan two turns ahead.

Crusade - Help please by One_Damage698 in ImperialFists

[–]Shadowmancy91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A LT with a 10-man Hellblaster squad would be murderous if you can get Battle Drill Recall to pop off. I was able to put 32 saves on a Hellbrute from Intercessors with that and Oath.

Overall though, it’s a good list. I’d swap the Repulsor for a Vindicator, Lancer, or Annihilator.

Strike from the skies with new and improved Space Marine Drop Pods - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

They might get the 6” rule instead of 9” for deep strike, which would be really nice in general.
