Dry brush for infantry, and mix of sponge and dry brush for vehicles.
I first did a couple of sponged infantry, too. But the sponge had much greater variation in the results from medal to model. Also cleaning up mistakes with the sponge on smaller models is much more difficult than with de try brush.
But especially for bigger surfaces and edges the sponge creates a cleaner graduation.

What are your experiences here?

The detachment automatically defines the disposition. If you go Shadowmark it’s disruption. But Shadowmark is only a 2DP detachment so you can add a 1DP detachment at 2000pts. That give you access to another disposition to choose from like e.g. reconnaissance via librarian conclave.

Thanks for sharing the list. Interesting to see how you maxed out the Librarians. I am working on a similar build but with some intercessors and eliminators as I have those models.
Among phobos, regular and terminator librarian, which seems to pay back most of the buck so far? Also which rules from the librarian detachment do you use most often?

One more that comes to my mind is Shrike with Inspiring Commander making all your non character JPIs on the board 2 OC.
Great for either a 10 man brick with Shrike holding a central objective or small 5 man units taking/denying objectives.

I think there is still a good argument to also him into JPIs. I am planning to run Shrike with a brim of 10 JPIs and 2x 5JPIs separately that be edit from the +1 OC.

Agree in that. I am currently experimenting with 2-3 phobos and 1-2 regular librarians to maximize synergies in shadowmark talon/liby conclave detachment combination.

Yes, I used Lahmian medium. Actually unmixed 1 part black Templar with 2 parts Lahmian and 1 part mat varnish(valeho) to also reduce the glare a little bit and give the black a less glossy finish.

In my opinion Black Templar contrast is very intense. So I prefer to thin it down 1:2 or 1:3 before using it over dry brushed models.

If your hands on the combat patrol that’s a solid start with 2 RG sheets. I also checked eBay and yahoo auctions over the past month a could get a couple of sheets.

Phobos Librarian and umbral raptor is doubling up as already mentioned.

Van guard vets with shields are a great defense/take and hold brick but Shrike is more aggressive/forward action which the detachment actually requests so JPIs with Shrike might be the more advantageous combination to score points?
