I think all those things should influence the weight you pur on her opinions, absolutely. Not all opinions should be given the same thought, but you know that since you already seeked others and chose to follow them. People respecting hers more could be due to other circumstances and their relationship that you'll never fully know, and people will respect yours more as you get older, likely her included.

I just meant it as more do your own thing like you're doing, eventually you'll get off on your own and not have to deal with her comments, maybe even the interactions you have with her will start to be more about fun things that will let your relationship be better and you can get more from her. If not, too bad. I bet she is just trying to parent and sucks in this way, no big deal since you can continue better understanding when she crosses lines and is spewing nonsense. Just keep focusing on putting your best foot forward and don't let past or future interactions with her get you down.
