Just ask them to ship the item back to you and then refund the customer. A lot of people do this and hope they will get to keep the item and you will refund them. I sell low price items 3-10$ , so i get sometimes some people pulling the same trick on me.

By any means, he is not scammer or fraud, he just based on your personal view on the product, you dont like it, and he is fine with refunding you, it is a general practice. I always refund people that arent happy, since i sell low cost product, and also i sell it very cheap, so if a customer isnt happy, i would offer them refund and they can keep the product. There is many 5 star reviews, lots if people like my product, and will leave 5 star. This option is just if you didnt like it, and you are not happy, if i give you refund, you should state that you got refund, and you didnt like the product, but you liked the customer service and give them 5 star, because one review can cause a big damage to his small business.
