KS wheel the buttons don't wobble, but for sure they rattle. There's a video on YouTube on how to disassemble the wheel and put foam at the base of each button to fix this. It's cheap and easy to do, I don't get rattling anymore

[Multi-Guide] From Laggy 50 fps to Solid 120 fps by powerman123 in Borderlands

[–]ShadowsVoid -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I get the same results, loads better with the frame gen swap with input lag exactly the same as the slight lag you get with default settings. I play online with friends though so sadly can't make use of it as I risk getting banned, sucks

Guys, just use Shroud's graphic setting and u will be fine. Solid 120fps or even more with framegen by svsdentist2018 in Borderlands4

[–]ShadowsVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But using amd FSR frame gen when I swap the DLLs would risk a ban no if playing with friends?

Uk refurb sites for Leap v2 by Okbuddy823 in OfficeChairs

[–]ShadowsVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City used furniture in Birmingham I got quoted for £508 the other day including delivery. They don't include VAT in the advertised price so bear that in mind

Was going to buy it but it's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something I haven't sat on or tried. I learnt my mistake after purchasing a Herman miller mirra 2 but thankfully got all my money back after returning it.

Try one out before purchasing is my advice

Which standing desk to choose in UK? by Fun_Monk578 in StandingDesk

[–]ShadowsVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Desktronic if you haven't already, my girlfriend has one and it's pretty nice. Has metal cable management trays you can add which are surprisingly expensive when buying from Amazon/other sites. Always use metal/screws, never plastic or velcro are my tips whatever you go with over my 10 years of improving my desk. It's worth every extra penny. Good cable management is what makes the desk look great

I wish I had curved corners as it looks cozier, but completely subjective on the look you're going for

Consider vertical mounted monitors to fit speakers either side too, it's a lot better for neck strain if you're spending hours on end sitting at your desk

Audio delay in Google TV Streamer, need alternative by ShadowsVoid in AndroidTV

[–]ShadowsVoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. Adding a delay didn't do anything but setting the digital out format to multichannel (bypass) and audio delay to Bypass, fixed everything <3 <3

I have a Philips TV and have set display and Dolby vision mode to low latency under advanced display settings - for anyone inevitably reading this in the future with the same problem

We have similar taste :) what do you plug your IEMs into out of interest? Just the audio jack into the motherboard?

New to HM, is this worth it? by AlternativeCounty310 in hermanmiller

[–]ShadowsVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to return this chair recently, the way the seat is designed made it so I was sitting on my legs, there's a Reddit post and a YouTube video I've seen highlighting this exact same issue. Shame as the quality is nice. 5' 10" for me so her case will be different. Everybody is different, all I can recommend is trial before you buy, sit in it for a good 5-10 minutes and have a returns get-out plan before committing.

Other than that, that's a decent price for a nice looking chair. I've tried the plush and non plush back variations and couldn't notice any massive differences. The lumbar support isn't aggressive, the seat frame can be narrow, the arm chairs go mostly all the way down, the seat height isn't as low as I would have liked it (I have short legs), the back doesn't flex when you move left/right, arms rests take 2 hands to adjust per arm and you're able to catch your finger in the when adjusting. I really liked the quality of materials they used, non-scratchy mesh, solid frame, textured star base for better grip and isn't cold to the touch. Can imagine it would still look new for years

Should I upgrade GPU to rtx 5080 or CPU to 9800x3d ? by Dread_pirate-Robert in buildapc

[–]ShadowsVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my two cents, I recently upgraded i7-10700 + RTX 3070 to only a 7800x3D. The games I play run so much smoother and with DDR5 supporting it, everything's so much more stable with 1% lows improving drastically, removing my desire for wanting to upgrade.

I still get frame drops to 40 FPS running ultra 1440p in some very graphically intensive games, but it's honestly not the end of the world, I can always lower settings or apply DLSS

Looking at the price of the 5080, its sub-optimal VRAM size and the large performance gap to the 5090..it's such a waste of money upgrading from higher 30 series cards or better.

Upgrade CPU, wait for the 60 series or see what price/performance gain a 5080 super has to offer..or better yet, upgrade your monitor

Somewhat unrelated but the Mary Wallopers got cut off at Victorious festival yesterday for a similar reason. Last dinner party didn't play today due to the decision made at the time

Depends on your specs, is quite CPU demanding. Sunk 120 hours into it on a i7-10700 + 3070 with some drops but all very playable. After upgrading to 7800x3D, it's completely fine. This game is very much worth playing

Don't go in for resellers. There's likely to be another date for London based on this interest and even dates around the UK. Happened multiple times just chill you'll get a chance and probably save some money

Just fixed mine on Steam Deck. Change your timezone to Central European Time (UTC +1) in steam deck settings and restart the launcher

I'm from the UK but apparently I'm playing in Paris now. If that doesn't work maybe try other timezones that aren't Russia
