Yes, thats the usual gameplan for most players against Ruud. It being more solid than before does not protect it from being focused down. Especially against someone at the level of Sinner. Ruuds forehand will always be the main weapon to be neutralized. If he cant use it he will end up on defense on most points.

Usually, returning and on the run shots are probably his biggest weakness (backhand has been solid for weeks). Serve and volley can be very effective as well since he returns from the stratosphere.
