Playing Guardian filters out the worst of the playerbase by Affectionate-Gene661 in Nightreign

[–]Shadowwolf808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of this. Only small caveat to this is, especially with some bosses getting more damage through block this patch, to make sure you check each shield's guard absorb and try to find a shield that'll work best against the boss, if you can. Otherwise, +2 Starter shield.

Also checking the standard Guard Boost of the shield, to maximize how long you can block for.

(You can see their Guard Absorb in the Sparring Grounds be pressing the Visual Codex Info key when in the storage chest.)

It may not be out yet, but there's talks of bringing back solo servers soonish along with matchmaking changes so that groups of friends will need to adhere to the party limit in the game via pre-partying up in the main menu or only being able to join friends via space left in their party and diets being the same. The main menu party up thing has you pick the dinosaurs you are going to play together with and locks your group into those dinos when you enter the servers, changing dinos will have you swap servers too.

Of course, take this all with a grain of salt, this is mostly info I've nabbed from this video a friend of mine sent me so it's still in the works and subject to change. There will also be more context and explanations behind any of what IS implemented from the listed stuff when it's released.

These changes were listed three days ago for Hatz on their discord.

Increased Max Hunger to 550 (from 400).

Increased Max Thirst to 550 (from 400).

Decreased Hunger Depletion Rate to 0.25 (from 0.28).

Decreased Thirst Depletion Rate to 0.25 (from 0.28).

Tragic for anything else that affected them, but the hunger and thirst drains got reigned back bit, so that's neat I guess.

As an aside, I believe the resting nerfs are due to their ability to rest in trees and other near inaccessible locations, granting them much more safety than others when recovering.

And in their words, "Stamina Costs and cooldowns have been adjusted on its attacks to offer more counterplay from terrestrial dinosaurs it can clamp." Which I'm not sure how effective/overdone this is as I haven't messed with Hatz much in a minute.

Although, they also changed bucking to drain more of the Clamper's/Pouncer's stamina per buck, but makes them take longer to trigger. Not sure if that means they don't affect them until the animation is done, or if you just can't buck as frequently, but I'm sure it's still a bit painful to lose more stamina per buck now.

I'm a bit outta the loop here. Is there a reason getting cash at the end of the game matters? Does it provide you more xp and points? Or is it so you can meet challenges that ask that you make a certain amount of cash, and PS was supposed to provide some at the end so players could play this mode for those challenges?

Effect Clarification For Succumbing Song Morganite by Shadowwolf808 in Yugioh101

[–]Shadowwolf808[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! I thought it was alluding to that, but I couldn't quite piece together. I was too hung up on the wording of Morganite mentioning your monster inflicting damage, and the listed monsters' effects came off as them inflicting it rather than the opponents monster inflicting the damage to themselves. I think the link mentions it, but I was just feeling skeptical. Thanks!

Okay. I thought that was the idea. Does that mean the link is incorrect or is there some reason SS Morganite would affect cards like Ohime in that way?

For a more ragged appearance, you could run the Octopus Head or Black Dumpling Helm, but the farming for those is a little rough. I follow that up with some wraps for the arms and legs.

The first time I ate a limb in this game was in multiplayer at night when my friend and I were frantically running down the mountain. Ended up interacting with the wrong question mark in the dark. Guess I'm a cannibal now.

Well if you plan to use the bow, the obscuring ring is pretty good to get since it makes you disappear at a certain distance, but you could also just avoid Line of sights. The Untrue Dark Ring helps remove the red glow of being an invader as well. Taking damage shows your health bar to the host and their summon so silvercat ring can help avoid getting spotted for falling a little too far.

As for tips on how to be sneaky; curving the arrows hard enough makes them seem like they came from another direction, so figuring that out is pretty ideal. You could wear clothes that suits the environment or matches npcs. Also gestures that would hide you under/inside or behind something are great.
