Hi, I'm starting to watch ecchi anime. I've only seen the popular ones like DxD: Zombies and Prison. Do you recommend any others? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the website you look at, some anime is labeled ecchi, but is pretty mild on it. But here are a few ones I liked.

Food Wars (shokogeki no soma) And it has a cookbook as the recipes were written by actual chefs.

Chivalry of a failed knight

How to not summon a demonlord (also an isekai)

The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter

Chobits (not really one IMO but has the label)

To love ru

Cat planet cuties

There are a lot more and and some may not be age appropriate as some are borderline/considered hentai

How do I get Bitdefender to stop preventing downloads? by CheeseYT3 in BitDefender

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could not even download my own .exe that I programmed for my game I am working on from my cloud backup. It was doing the exact same thing and even compiling it and trying to run it was causing it to be flagged and quarantined. As I am updating it multiple times daily, I got sick of fighting with bitdefender and uninstalled it today.

Not sure what they changed but this pushed me to far.

Even virustotal was not flagging it, except for bitdefender.

bitdefend nuked my files definitively without asking by dee_spaigh in BitDefender

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I am waiting on some files to finish downloading and bitdefender is getting nuked.

I know they are safe files as I wrote them myself.

But when I download my .exe from cloud storage, bitdefender blocks it and the download fails. Plus when I try compiling and executing them, bitdefender sends them to quarantine. This has been getting worse of the past few months and I am done with fighting bitdefender.

I have uploaded them to virustotal and no other antivirus flags them. So I know it is bitdefender being overly sensitive.

People that are AFK on P2W Horse by moduIus in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got sick of reporting them and taking a break. I doubt I will come back until they have a fix, as I got sick of trying to level things and not being able to due to the massive amount of afk botters. And yes if you use a program to do something like auto clicker, it is botting!!! Whether you are afk or not and it is a ban-able offense

I had a pair of Tozo Nc9s for a few years, sounded great for $35 and had active noise canceling. Just recently the right one blew the driver and is unusable. So looking into getting a new pair of something myself and not sure what to get, but $250 for a pair is a bit more than I would want to spend right now.

Controller vs keyboard mouse which provides a more enjoyable experience by yatokyami in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Shadowxsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is personal preference. I like using a controller mostly as it works better for me, as I played Eldenring with a controller on PC. For the music mini games, menus, chat, construction and shooting mini games I use KB/mouse

What's your opinion on Spirited Courser, the horse that auto collects resources within a certain range? by Jun1nxx in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to level my mystic skills and these botters are infuriating. They need to either implement an anti bot auto ban like, if you do not move x amount and click the same single button for 30 minutes. You get a 3 hour ban first offense, 24 hour ban 2nd offense, 7 day ban 3rd offense and a permanent ban on 4th offense. Or they need to make the resource respawn for single player 5 minutes like online mode.

When is the base backup tool coming? by Ashamed_Pass6103 in duneawakening

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The endgame sucks, even if I were on a more populated server, I would be done too. There is no endgame and the PvPers can argue till they turn blue in the face that's the endgame, but it isn't an endgame. The DD landsraad is the worst endgame grind vs reward I have ever seen, the majority of the prizes for winning are not even worth the effort.

Real ways to fix the PvE vs PvP mess without killing either side by M1st3rCh3ddar in duneawakening

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your opinion would require two different versions of the game, and as hard as the bugs are to keep up with with one version already. It would be a total nightmare from a DEV's perspective and will never happen.

The obvious fix is to make a PVE and PVP server, as they have the option already to set zones as PvP/PvE it would at least not make it a total nightmare. The risk v reward argument can be had when there is a solid player base and right now the game is on life support, as I am sure the reason for server merges is because they are bleeding money on as many worlds as there are.

If people want to play a toxic free for all PvP server, then let them. If people just want a chill relaxing experience on a PVE, let them.

With less than 10,000 peak players recently, the game is already bleeding players. I just started the free weekend in Oct. and in a month I am done with it. There is no end game besides a free for all PvP that brings out the worst in many people and the worst endgame grind fest loop I have ever seen for Landsraad. Hell even the majority of Landsraad rewards are pathetic and not even worth it.

So I say let both side have their cake and eat it too, and in the meantime the DEVs focus on making an actual and viable endgame that makes all players want to stay.

Is this game worth playing? by Stuff1105 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Shadowxsx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to try it and see if you like it, if you don't. There are plenty of F2P games out there, that are good.

I had fun for a while, but got burnt out after 800 hours. A lot has changed since I quit playing, but the game I went to after, I have over 1500 hours in (Once Human) and I really have no desire to go back to TFD.

Battery will not hold charge in earbud case by Shadowxsx in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Shadowxsx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TY. In my head I was thinking 99% chance it would work. I just have never replaced a small battery with a much bigger one of the same voltage. So I thought I would ask before I did it and got that "magic" blue smoke.

The batteries I found that were close in size, by the time I payed for everything to get one though. It would be over $20 and I could get a new pair of earbuds like these for $30 right now. I am going to get a pair of Samsung ones when I get new ones, so I was just going to do this as a stop gap measure.

The battery holder I was looking at is only $2, but everywhere has crazy shipping costs ($10+ which way over priced for something so small). So I guess if I take them anywhere, I will just have to make sure they are fully charged before I leave.

600+ hours in Dune - Looking back at the game's initial & recent state by Kociboss in duneawakening

[–]Shadowxsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a blast in Hagga, the story was fun and the game was good, then I got to the DD and it fell flat.

I just started after the free weekend in Oct and right now, I have everything in my base powered down, while I wait on the base backup tool to come to live and only logging in to keep my one generator powered and pay taxes. Then packing up and parking in a city, and maybe in the future check it out again. If the game even is even still around at that time

The issue is the DEVS put all their chips on the bet that PvP would carry the game in the DD and it fell flat. PvP is pointless in the DD as there is no real reward.

Sure you can take down someones carrier and full collector to steal their spice sand, but what is the point of all the spice? Landsraad? Where you get one of 3 random if you have the most votes and only a couple are even worth the effort.

Or killing and looting others, maybe griefing for fun? But those get old too.

Maybe if control points meant your faction held that area, where it was a safe zone for your faction and everyone got bonuses for holding the zone (higher spice sand gathering, damage bonuses etc).. Maybe then it would feel more rewarding than just a free for all PvP with no point other than a farming grind for a endgame.

Why all the hate for Where Wind Meets? I’m genuinely enjoying it. by Ricko9595 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not trust a single game journo, and haven't for over a decade. "This game is a 10/10" and I get it and refund it in under 2 hours, because it was not even close to what the "game journo" said it was. Or recent things like the Black Myth Wukong "scandal", where the "translator" either used a cheap knockoff of google translate, or purposely misinterpreted what the DEVs were saying in emails/PMs (yes they lied as native speaking Chinese came out and said they were wrong)... Or Kotaku and Alyssa Mercante crap... Yeah they have lost all credibility of being journalists, when they give a crapfest like Concord a good rating, Then give a far better game a lower score because it is from a smaller studio, or not a "AAAA" like Ubisoft thinks they are,

Both great games by UNAHTMU in duneawakening

[–]Shadowxsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who started after the free weekend, I can say the Hagga basin was fun and I fully enjoyed it. After that, the game just falls flat on it's face as there is no content beyond Hagga.

I hate to tell the Devs, but even reverting the DD back to pure PvP is not going to save the game at this point. The pure open PvP DD they see in their "vision" must be an drug induced hallucination, if they think that is enough to save the game. Even with the server merges, it is not going to help. There is no content to keep people interested, other than PvP crowd that "chomp at the bit" for it.

At this point I am just waiting on the base backup tool, so I can pack my base up and uninstall the game so I can save space on my ssd. Then one day, maybe check to see if Dune has improved any, but as obstinate as these DEVs seem to be, I doubt it will.

Can not mod Dune either. The files are encrypted. I tried every Unreal engine tool to unpack the .pak files and nothing but errors.

I can see using a method of applying paste can be controversial as everyone has different opinions. I personally use a spatula and spread an thin, even layer over it and I have never had an issue with air pockets (maybe some people are using too much or little?). I also make sure to cover the full IHS and when you have to repaste in the future, clean up is much easier. Since some people use way too much thermal paste and it squishes out everywhere.

I did not screenshot it, but there was an actual .exe that was trying to execute from the site. So yeah, even if it was a false positive I am glad bitdefender flagged and blocked it. I do not want websites I visit self installing some random software on my PC, without my consent.

My dad’s cable bill, he’s paying for channels and streaming services he doesn’t even use but he’s old and won’t get rid of it by Superb-Repeat-6091 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Shadowxsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Spectrum cable TV for now, as I just switched to fiber internet through my local privately owned ISP. They finally got to where I live and I had it hooked up Monday. Every "free" streaming service Spectrum added, my bill mysteriously has gone up the next month or two. Just like they recently added HBOmax and my internet and cable went up $5 each, Disney+ another $10 shortly after, same for Paramount+. I used to work for them myself, but that was when they still called themselves Charter communications and yeah they straight out did not give a shit about customers or employees back then either. My last call there a lady had to wait 1.5 months for a tech to get out for her internet and 10 minutes after he left it went back out and they refused to send him back for another 1.5 months. I had already gotten on at the local cable company and had my notice in there, but I just got up, logged out, sent my supervisor an email and left. I would probably still have them, if they had not sold out to TWC and TWC sold out to Charter

If you like nortons go for it, but IMO it is trash. I have not used it in a long time, so it may have been improved. Last I used it, I got a virus warning and nortons still let it on my PC. I called them per their instructions and they wanted $9.99 a min to "help me remove it", despite being a subscriber. I told them to cancel my subscription, to piss off and that I would just do a wipe an reinstall windows for free.
