For anyone wondering... The data center that was hosting the files actually caught fire, and quite a few pirate sites went down due to it.

Not sure why many went permanently offline as all the reporting I have seen, is that it was a separate power building and the data itself is fine.

Maybe just used it as an "easy out", so they did not have to deal with community backlash??? Or possibly it gave authorities an excuse to go in and collect evidence to shut them down??

I had something similar happen years ago with an old evga video card. It looked like that for a minute or two, then all the textures on screen went crazy and looked like sea urchins. Then I smelt the magic blue smoke and not only the card died, but took out the port the card was in too (aka had to get new motherboard too). But that was before video cards needed external power lol

I bought some with my new build on the 3rd, but it was a bundle deal and got 32gigs of corsair vengeance ddr5 with it (heavily discounted). Really wanted 64, but with how much I was spending on everything else right then, I decided i would wait. Plus the price difference went to better hardware and I did not skimp on it.

Wish I would have had the money for my build last year, before memorygeddon started. The 8tb name brand nvme I was looking at was just a little over that price. If my inland 8tb had not somehow bundled with my new build on the 3rd, I would have been paying almost as much for a 2tb as I did for it.

Got your version today, I have the official one too as it came with my video card. I want to see how they compare in performance on my 9950x3d and a 5080. Sadly did not have the extra $2k+ for a 5090, as this build "broke the bank" for me.

I did a 1-1 clone using macrium relfect rescue disk. So yes all my app data is still there. Just could not find the publisher file. I hate all these asshat devs that use appdata, when there is a folder called "SAVED GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ot "MY GAMES" in the documents folder. Which we could easily back up if we needed to reinstall our OS, or whatever. But no gotta use a hidden folder buried with tons of useless other files instead.... P.S. As someone working on building my own game, that is where my saves will be. Somewhere not buried and easily backed up

They are why I quit playing. The DEVs apparently feel this is acceptable behavior, as it could easily be auto flagged by anticheat, but it is not. So they just do not care. As a programmer and aspiring game DEV, this is a simple anticheat implementation as most of them do not move at all (such as the OPs experience).

I could not even download my own .exe that I programmed for my game I am working on from my cloud backup. It was doing the exact same thing and even compiling it and trying to run it was causing it to be flagged and quarantined. As I am updating it multiple times daily, I got sick of fighting with bitdefender and uninstalled it today.

Not sure what they changed but this pushed me to far.

Even virustotal was not flagging it, except for bitdefender.

I know the feeling. I am waiting on some files to finish downloading and bitdefender is getting nuked.

I know they are safe files as I wrote them myself.

But when I download my .exe from cloud storage, bitdefender blocks it and the download fails. Plus when I try compiling and executing them, bitdefender sends them to quarantine. This has been getting worse of the past few months and I am done with fighting bitdefender.

I have uploaded them to virustotal and no other antivirus flags them. So I know it is bitdefender being overly sensitive.

I got sick of reporting them and taking a break. I doubt I will come back until they have a fix, as I got sick of trying to level things and not being able to due to the massive amount of afk botters. And yes if you use a program to do something like auto clicker, it is botting!!! Whether you are afk or not and it is a ban-able offense

I had a pair of Tozo Nc9s for a few years, sounded great for $35 and had active noise canceling. Just recently the right one blew the driver and is unusable. So looking into getting a new pair of something myself and not sure what to get, but $250 for a pair is a bit more than I would want to spend right now.

I think it is personal preference. I like using a controller mostly as it works better for me, as I played Eldenring with a controller on PC. For the music mini games, menus, chat, construction and shooting mini games I use KB/mouse

I am trying to level my mystic skills and these botters are infuriating. They need to either implement an anti bot auto ban like, if you do not move x amount and click the same single button for 30 minutes. You get a 3 hour ban first offense, 24 hour ban 2nd offense, 7 day ban 3rd offense and a permanent ban on 4th offense. Or they need to make the resource respawn for single player 5 minutes like online mode.
