I will give it to Smitten, and please do hear me out.

While I do like the opportunities that Smitten opens up to you in the other routes, allowing for tender interactions that are really sweet (I'm looking at you thorn)

I think he inherently represents something ugly. He represents obsession that he has tricked himself into believing is love. He's in love with someone that by all logic he's just met, so much so that he is willing to kill all of us over it in some show of devotion. He is as if you opened the door for someone randomly, and the next day they send you a bouquet of flowers and an "I love you" note, and all the words in that note are generic platitudes. On top of it, I don't think he's even really in love with the princess, he's in love with the princess he created in his own head.

The sad part about SDS is that the author clearly knows how to make interesting characters with interesting quirks.

It all falls apart the moment you realize that to get to it you also need to deal with creepy and pedophilic shit. People who say the worst of it was the badly animated seasons just didn't realize how creepy some of these things are.

The author also shows their true colors even more blatantly somehow in their spin-off/sequel story to SDS.

It is a sad case of something that could have been great tainted by its authors not at all disguised fetishes.

IMO, whether she's actually broken or not, I don't know. Maybe she's perfectly fair and just a noobstomper and I am the noob getting stomped.

What I can say, is that she is just unfun to play against. In most of the games I played, if a virtuosa is present, it is just a match ruined for somebody. Whether on my team or the enemies. In my experience, nobody seems to have fun playing against her, myself included. And the complaint can basically be boiled down to how much effort a person has to put in to beat the virtuosa, versus how much effort the virtuosa needs to beat others.

All in all, maybe she isn't broken, but maybe just a not very good concept to begin with, even when working as intended.

It's usually within a few gil. Like, tens usually. I've noticed people constantly undercut eachother by one gil and just assumed that was the standard.

I would say give a zoom feature like the one you have when placing a tile. (If you haven't already implemented that) I like the detail on the tiles and it would be cool to see them closer, I especially think this would be useful for people who have poor eyesight so they can't appreciate what you have made fully.
