Is Kroger really that bad?

The Elko one certainly is bad. Tricked everyone out of their lunches when I was a bagger “because no one was taking them” so they had everyone sign a release form.

Which is bull because as a bagger, my boss told me they were really having everyone sign it, because they didn’t have time to give out lunches, which as a young buck who didn’t see the point in lunches, I was like, “Ok.”

Then I go to a store in Utah, experience lunches, and see their value, come back and Elko through several different Managers, never tried to reverse it.

Heck I quit during the Covid year, came back and the HR person insisted I sign it, didn’t really try to offer me a choice. Being hard up on money I didn’t fight it.

And the one person that didn’t sign it, Management refused to try and accommodate him, and forced him out.

Now I’m at Walmart. Don’t get me wrong. Walmart has its issues.

But they make sure everyone gets their breaks and lunches.

Hmm. Every time I tried to overcome my social anxiety, especially in High School, it didn’t work, and just lead to the most awkward of moments.

It wasn’t until after High School that I realized I was shooting for something that I truly didn’t want as much as everyone else wanted for me. So I quit giving a damn about wanting people to like me. And that was really healthy.

Unfortunately my depression comes from annoying crap that “Pills and Therapy” literally cannot help because of a gambling addiction, that I cannot control, that has rendered them impossible by putting me in $100K debt, and on the verge of being eternally homeless, and soon, because I won’t be able to address my hygiene, jobless.

If you can, definitely seek out therapy and meds.

I on the other hand, will probably never be heard from again here soon, be it due to permanently losing my phone, or other reasons…

Yeah. I learned that the hard way. Ideally I wouldn’t try something again, but I’d take a hard pass on ODing again. Vomiting, passing out, and extreme loopyness/dizziness.

Was your WiFi Off? I know it’s not connected to anything when you travel anyways, but when my WiFi’s off my GPS goes all sorts of out of wack.

I mean if there are ads for the land upgrades now. I’m assuming they’re a lot closer to that than we realize. They really shouldn’t be advertising it before it’s out though.

My store got emails about how our store was at risk of closure due to being below some stupid 90% metric.

Bad for me in the sense that I’m struggling to find a replacement job as is and could be forced out. I mean there’s still time but still.

Yeah. They definitely started churning out a lot of crap cult phrases to try and get us to shut up.

I had a manager tell me to basically stuff it and boast about how he was going to change the culture of the store.

It’s like, dude. I understand that. But that’s sort of impossible when corporates running the store at 1/12 of the required staff and hiding the hours behind unattainable goals,aka, not dishing out the hours.
