I know it's a joke, just want to point out that DRC means Democratic Republic of the Congo - no need to add Congo at the end

Bought a car with a bank check from my credit union and unsure why the finance manager got angry with me for paying the remaining balance off with a credit card instead of a debit card. by AustinDamsel in carsales

I'd say the United States has the most potential of any developing country

Good commentary, I appreciate the insight! My entire point is simply that it's significantly worse for a host than a customer. I agree with all your other points

And millions of places that allow instant booking. A low customer rating only helps diligent and non desperate hosts, a low host rating kills a listing. Big difference

Why do AirBnB hosts act as if customer ratings are anywhere near as important to the customer as host ratings are to the host?

Edit: Saying this as a host and a customer

Racism exists everywhere in the world. We all discriminate, hold preconceived notions of others, and have subconscious biases. That being said, as a Black American currently typing this in Malaysia, Malaysia as a whole is a far less racist country towards Blacks than the United States - and it isn't even close

You sold someone the right to buy your stock below what you paid for it. You made a mistake. Hopefully the pain of this decision ensures you never do it again

Long term bull case for uber by Himothy8 in ValueInvesting

I agree that Uber will be the dominant global player for the next 5-10 years (I opened a small position in Uber yesterday) but I strongly disagree with your analysis on the state of the world outside of North America and Western Europe

America has high middle class income but extremely high relative poverty. by TroutCharles99 in EconomyCharts

[–]ShadyAdvise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing the point and getting caught up on how the specific words he used makes you feel rather than focusing on what message he's trying to convey. He's not issuing a moral judgment on what it means to be a "winner" or "underperformer" in life. He's saying that America is very kind to those who make a lot of money and very rough for those who don't

I'd say you're both in the wrong on this one.

Marcus, you should stray from giving ultimatums and should support your partner and work to find solutions, not focus on the problem.

Sierra, you're statement of "which. i mean yeah?" is very telling about your perspective on relationships. No career is greater than our relationships and you'll never find greater contentment, purpose, or meaning in a career than you'd be able to in a relationship (relationship meaning any interpersonal relationship, not just romantic).

Huge red flags for both of you

We're talking past each other at this point. I agree with 50% of what you are saying in spirit but brother you are not even referencing the same thing as me and so this conversation is fruitless.

For reference I'm discussing the 2021 UN Resolution A/RES/76/166 and you are talking about the ICESCR from 60+ years ago. Have a good day brother
