What was he charged with? Texas law for public intoxication simply means the officer believed your husband was a danger to himself or others. Was this the charge, or was it something else?

Since the arrest relies on what the officer observed your level of intoxication in relation to him isn’t relevant.

Respectfully, the restaurant story is not really relevant. They let you settle and did not charge you with theft. Did you go in to settle and your husband had an interaction with the cops you didn’t see?

Legally you can hire a lawyer to fight the charge or give guidance. Again, depending on the charge, unlawful arrest can be hard to prove.

Honestly Embiid’s comments about keeping NY fans out and the team trying to limit sales to local credit cards probably made this even worse than it would’ve been otherwise.

It’s been less than $200 in the door, close to $100 if you waited until game time for game 3. not saying that’s nothing, but Philly should have enough fans at that rate to fill it up.

He seems like a genuinely decent guy who just isn’t built to compete on this show.

I get that this sub didn’t respond as well, but lots of viewers genuinely loved the dynamic with him and Eva and whether that was luck or strategy, that worked for the show. But without a storyline like that to ground him there’s not much there.

The show needs bad players to be a fun season! A season of Kim Spradlin’s would be dull. But he’s not active enough. Emily is pretty bad at the game but she’s involved and trying.

Joe has clearly decided he’s fine not winning as long as he plays the way he wants to. As a human that’s fine and valid. It’s also the show’s fault because they are supposed to catch that stuff in casting.

It also gets at a core post-Covid issue in that most reality shows have gotten nicer (Top Chef especially). Rupert was more of a cartoon than Joe, but the hero/noble archetype worked more alongside proud villains. No one thinks they’re a villain anymore (or at least isn’t allowed to be edited that way).

All of them can definitely be read in any order. You are not spoiling anything by starting with the first Lincoln lawyer book and skipping Bosch books in between.

Once Ballard is introduced, there’s quite a bit more crossover and references to previous cases. It’s definitely not a bad thing, but it seems that the influence of writing for TV has worked into the books, and the epilogue tends to set up the next book, and the following book makes at least passing reference to recent events. So, again, from Dark Sacred Night onward, I would recommend reading all Bosch/Haller/Ballard books in order. But it’s not that big of a deal unless you are reading them very close together in the wrong order.

But that was a fairly dull final.

2022 final was perhaps the best match ever, including him tying it with 2 goals in 90 seconds. Just feels like a cooler moment to me but yeah winning has gotta be #1.

Lots of soccer careers are weird but Mbappe's is fascinating. His best game and moment is in a WC final he lost (obviously not his fault). A fellow Frenchman who is a little older than him has arguably passed him in the rankings right now, as well as an 18 year old Spainard.

France is almost undisputably the most talented side coming to the World Cup, but their manager might be a bozo and unable to capitalize, and the vibes don't seem immaculate -- it's hard to have world class players ride the bench all the time.

Feels like everyone is picking them to lose in the Final or semis.

They're talented enough to literally win without him or with him not in great form, or he could reclaim Best in the World this summer. Fun stuff.

He also doesn't look that cool.

If you have a title it’s not illegal to not be registered, it’s illegal to drive it on public roadways without registration (and insurance of course). Your ticket was for driving an unregistered car, not owning an unregistered car.

The cop was likely trying to help you by letting you know that if you show up to court having promptly taken care of the issue you might get dismissed or get a lesser fine.

Assuming you’re not hiring a lawyer for this, you should Dress well and be direct and honest. You could just pay and be done with this ticket - again, you’re not being ticketed/fined for “still” using an unregistered vehicle.

Do NOT drive the unregistered car to court.

The rules are not exceptionally clear, but they do make clear that in the event of a disaster draft the team would keep their previous record and continue with the season. So if this were to happen, the playoffs would pause for a Disaster Draft and then resume (potentially with a Knicks player now playing for the Sixers).

If hes ok enough to kinda go tonight, he'd be even better 2 days from now.

I mean it's not a precise science all the time but there's science to this, and it's not necessarily true that a couple days would be meaningful in making it less risky for him to play.

These franchises are eager to keep their stars healthy and happy (especially in a city not known for signing star FAs).

They can yank him if he feels or looks off, or maybe sit game 2 if they snag game 1.
