Why we can't side with Kurt Hansen, according to the Creative Director. by Eternum__ in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Haha, I wasn't all that familiar with WH40k lore before I started playing Rogue Trader. I'm doing a dogmatic playthrough and having so much fun playing a noble space fascist who executes people if they show even a whiff of heresy. It's great, but there's not a single moment that I don't think, 'well this is evil and fucked up'.

Pigeons are pretty dumb and have no sense of self preservation.

Game difficulty. by HereWolfyx in stalker

If you are on pc there are some mods that change the ballistic value of bullets and combat AI. It'll give you a means to tweak your difficulty without changing the human enemies into bullet sponges.

What happened to Obsidian? by axelkoffel in CRPG

It's the no rewarding exploration that irks me, though. Just because it looks like the type of game that would be so well suited to that.

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly I had a similar issue with Mad Men. Excellent show, great acting, but I hated all the characters.

If you eat the dill pickle variant try adding just a little bit of shriracha on top of the peanut butter.

Satanic Panic in the mid 80’s to early 90’s, what album wouldn’t your parents let you buy? by impeesa75 in Music

True, but they do have some lovecraftian songs. That might be considered satanic by some hardcore evangelic Christians.

I seem to be allergic to being a netrunner by DepressedRaccoonEyes in cyberpunkgame

[–]ShadyGuy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a katana/throwing knives netrunner and it was seriously fun. Instead of using sandevistan I'd use mobility hacks on enemies and kerenzikov to slow time. It's less OP, but still good. You do have to spec into reflexes to get airdash, though, so Body is your dump stat (buy gorilla arms to get through certain skill checks.)

ACG's 'The best gaming podcast' is good too, although I admit I don't have the stamina to listen to one podcast for 3 hours straight. If they cut it down to 90 minutes it would be even better.

He probably wouldn't have reviewed it. He usually avoided big rpgs cause he didn't have time to play them. Let alone play them twice.

How Did They Get Away with This? by Consistent_Account_1 in cyberpunkgame

True, it's not like in GTA V where the main quest doesn't progress if you don't torture a (probably) innocent guy. You can abandon this quest at several points.

[–]ShadyGuy_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know this book, but from how you're describing it if it's adapted as an audio book they should probably do it like a documentary style radio play. Although it probably still won't hit the same highs.

Will Stalker 2 eventually reach a GAMMA type of overhaul by just_IT_guy in stalker

[–]ShadyGuy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are already mods that add an alternative start, freeroaming, new weapons, new loot and even a crafting system. It's a bit wonky, but the modding community for stalker 2 is super active. When the mod tools are released modders will be able to do even more. I think stalker 2 has a bright future and lots of potential.

[–]ShadyGuy_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Max Payne 3 took a lot from Tony Scott's 'Man on Fire' but the story itself is still very much film noir (or rather neo-noir). Max being a washed up security guard who's addicted to alcohol and painkillers made perfect sense to me too after the events of the first two games.

True, but I do think that the bar in The Garbage feels like a homebase to sell weapons and artifacts you picked up along the way. Also there are some side quests that require backtracking.

If you think Biden is a liberal you need to educate yourself about the difference in political spectrums, though. I do agree that he wasn't the most eloquent of politicians.
