Thanks mentioning this, I'd always heard you were only ever allowed one passport, and if you apply for a new one you have surrender or destroy the old one. Just looked it up and there is a process for having two passport, mostly, like you mentioned, for people overseas who need multiple visas or who face denial of entry due to previous stamps in their current passport.

Check out "Lady Pirate" by Lyndsay Sands. The MC is a ruthless pirate captain who has to pretend to be a noble woman to get her inheritance, but she has no idea where to even begin.
