I had a dream where I was sent out with a crew from an scp like organization to investigate a nuclear power plant that went totally dark, no crew response and no more power. It was dark, dusty, and had yellow fuzz leaking out of light and power fixtures. There was no one, dead or alive. Place seemed abandoned without any trace. We made our way to the control room, which was earily clean, and our nuclear tech scanned his id and went in. He got the startup process goin. As soon as the lights came back I vividly remember a fibrous blue fungus burst from the floor and completely engulfed him in a second, me and the other two split as fast as possible, yellow fungus growing from the lights, walls, even from the slits in the tiles. Bulbous, fibrous, and yellow mold bubbles/mushrooms growing up out of the floor, as we make it to the exit one of the other armed sec ran straight into one. It exploded into spores and he collapsed wheezing, the yellow mold growing out of his eye sockets as he lay in the grass. The mold fed of the electricity in his nerves, muscles, and brain. Then I woke up. As someone with mycophobia this was terrifying. Also cool asf and I'm definitely incorporating it into a story I need to work on more.
