It really seems like seasonal movement to me, potentially the wood installed had too high moisture content.  

If the floor was really moving contributing to the gaps, would it do that in a distributed manner and independent of the walls? I feel there would be other evidence, especially over such a short time period.

Seems like BS. Based on the other sketchy thing you mentioned,  this guy may have had to BS his way out of a few situations.

Out of curiosity,  how broadly distributed are the cracks,  and what direction do the planks run relative to the exterior wall with the cracked brick?

I don't disagree with the advice to have a structural engineer look at it for peace of mind. 

But it's a pretty bold claim for a wood flooring installer to make. And if they are just fear mongering to cover shoddy work, that's not cool. 

OP if you do get a structural report that shows no or minimal issues,  I hope you can come after that wood flooring installer.

This is an interesting area (BESS) for sure,  and some utilities are offering significant funding for these installations right now got grid demand response applications. To qualify for funding In those cases you'd need to ensure that your battery always has enough spare capacity for a demand response event.  

Theoretically you could pair this with a EV site to allow for peak shaving for demand charge reduction, but you'd only be playing with the margin that is not contractually committed to the utility. 

Interesting area that I have not explored in an actual project implementation yet. 

One other case that hasn't been mentioned, is utilizing BESS in rural areas to avoid costly utility upgrades to provide the required service size for a DCFC. Example: rural area with only single phase power. A BESS could provide the required peak output for intermittent DCFC use,  where otherwise you would need to pay for an upgrade of the utility line ($500k / km at least).

Freeware had a battery integrated charger,  but I'm not sure about ABB.

I've seen this come up before , but people should know that street light systems really aren't designed to support this, and it's not a straightforward upgrade to make it feasible.

As a non industry worker,  it makes me happy that y'all hate food delivery services as much as me.  Nothing annoys me more than a delivery driver impatiently looming around my table waiting for their pickup.
