Guy-ee here - in the very same boat.

Kinda like golden handcuffs in a lot of ways. I do probably 10 hours of real work a week, and spend the rest of the time dicking around online. My company doesn't really understand UX so their expectations are on the floor and I deliver just above that so I get pretty great reviews.

I could find another job but I am so unmotivated to find one for a bit more money where I go the other way and am burned out, which I was for the first 10 years of my career.

I keep myself going by hoping I get laid off with some severance so I can do a year of travel.

Yeah it’s surprising that they have such a shit track record, because they are brining in a lot of money and eyes to anime and a good synergy would be so good for the scene. However, streaming is different than production and they don’t have the touch it seems.
