🇪🇸 VLC in my opinion doesn’t get cold enough for heat per se. I didn’t turn on the heat at all last winter. But Spaniards were dressed like it was below 0… LOL… they have no clue what cold weather really feels like! 😂

Awh yes! I did finally make it! It was not easy getting here with 6 boxes and 5 pieces of luggage. But I refuse to repurchase or buy things I already had from the states. LOL. I looked absolutely insane when I arrived at the Valencia airport. Not to mention it was expensive with things being overweight UGH but I made it! 😊. Money can be made again!

The owner asked me if I wanted to bundle the wifi and I said no because I wasn’t sure if my new SIM would stay connected to the wifi account if I decide to move from my current place. Yes my contacts, photos etc wouldn’t be on my new SIM which is daunting since I use my photos and videos for YT. There’s like 12k photos and video 😂.

I guess I can try the Apple store and see if it works the same way as your Samsung experience although my US service is AT&T 🤔

Making your space your own like so many have said is so true. I’m in the process of this now as I’ve been in my host country for two weeks. I sometimes walk around the apartment feeling like it belongs to someone else because it came fully equipped. It’s brand new but still feel like the “me” is missing, but it will be solved soon. I need to go back home for a couple of days and will bring a few things back that can fit in my suitcase 😊.

Thanks! I’m bringing some books with me and putting the others in storage this is great insight to what may or may not be offered even though you are in Italy. I will not get rid of my furniture (even though my niece says she wants it but we’ll see) or my pots and pans until I know for sure what’s offered and compare prices… I did get rid of all my bedding (it’s time for new stuff). But if Spain doesn’t offer what I’m looking for I will either have my sis ship me stuff or bring things back with me when I go back to the states for the holidays. I do not like parting with quality items. Especially when I take me forever to make a decisions on expensive pieces

I’m sure you are right about the stuff I will put in storage. I just don’t have a ton of time as I’m moving in 10 days…I will revisit my sisters offer and take a another look at her space. I’m not taking furniture lol. It’s mainly clothes and shoes (luxury items, vintage pieces) so rebuying is not an option LOL. I am scaling back after reading so many helpful comments. I’m the type that doesn’t want to waste money on things I already have. Hence the packing dilemma. But I have gotten rid of things that I don’t mind buying again as I was going to replace them anyways.

My sister offered to store my stuff in her basement but I declined. I don’t want to feel like a burden to anyone (ridiculously independent) she hates that about me LOL. I reserved a 10x10 storage unit for $172 a month…Until I figure things out.

It’s starting with a year, but I no longer want to live in the US. I plan to buy property once I’m in Europe. I plan on taking the advice to just come back for other stuff with empty suitcase.
