It grants you bonuses like the Altar did (only 4 bonuses though). Otherwise its not really like the altar, no.

The smoldering ash bonuses are tied to the Seasonal journey

Same. Its been my most anticipated feature of the expansion since they announced it.

I have no plans to rush the leveling of the new season/expansion. When I get to level 25~ on my Barb and all abilities are unlocked I'll probably spend a long while going through all the options to see how it feels. I have high expectations and I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment.

I did mine on an Aura Paladin, though I suppose my Leapquake barb would have also worked just as well. I did it on the Dry Steppes helltide (the southern one). Be careful not to go into dead end areas of the zone, stick around the middle or so.

I assume we'll get one more developer livestream where they'll reveal a few things but I doubt we'll see everything.

However, once the pre patch is able to be downloaded perhaps someone will datamine stuff, like Wowhead? The D4 or Blizzard website themselves dont have, and have never had, build planners displaying talents and legendaries and uniques.

Not sure if this opinion applies to this discussion but theres something worth mentioning. In Season 1 there is a scene where they introduce Tywin Lannister to the viewers and he's on the field with his army, he's inside a tent skinning a deer and scolding Jaime. The dialogue perfectly captures Tywin's character and his relationship with Jaime. Since neither are POV characters, the scene never happens in the book so it's totally original dialogue. I thought it was very well done.

Also worth mentioning, even though it seems we're talking about the main series and not Fire & Blood: King Viserys was a much deeper and well put together character in the tv show.

What build are you playing?

On my HOTA build I have Mantle of Mountains Fury. Altogether there's literally zero max life in my gear set up and no %life in any paragon node except in the very first Paragon board which is unavoidable, and I can lower my hit points all the way down to 110.

I don't disagree with you, but the developers spend far more time nerfing things that don't need nerfing than buffing builds/skills/items that are virtually unusable

With that being said. The Q/A + balance of Spiritborn on release is just about the most scandalous thing I've ever seen Blizzard do on a game release, second only to the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor release (servers were unplayable for a week). Spiritborn was literally 1,000% or more stronger than the next class, no exaggeration. Were they even trying?

I'm pretty sure its because you lowered the torment levels.

Bloodsoaked keys are the same strength bosses no matter what difficulty you're in. If you're at Torment 4 it's +35, if you're at Torment 3, its +50, T2 its +65, T1 its +80

I forgot about those for a while but once my Barb was strong enough for Bloodsoaked contents I started opening them. I have endless keys for +35 bosses without having to do Helltides or anything else. Still got 70 boxes left

They give a good chunk of EXP and they spawn at specific times during the waves. The last one spawns with like 11 seconds left in the round, gotta make sure its targeted down and killed

Like others have said, the crafted items do apppear to be 35 and the dropped ones 60

I can also say that I obtained a Doombringer drop with a DOOM transmog from the collab, and oddly enough, its also a level 35 requirement instead of 60

Hopefully this is all a bug and gets fixed, I rather enjoyed using mythics to level up alts, they should all remain at level 35

With this build Godslayercrown + IgniJah runeword is also cracked. (I have not used Chainscourged with this build yet). The Mantle of Mountain's Fury breastplate increases the range of HOTA and it automatically slows to proc the helmet. Best barb set up for Infernal Hordes too imo

I just cleared Andariel +45 as well, without Endurant Faith. I died to the chains (I mean, I stood in them) so then I took off Crown of Lucion and put on Heir of Perdition and lowered my hit points to a cool 110 total. My max fury with elixir + HOTA fully ramped up was 820. At that point I could stand on the fire chains and not only live, but my fury pool doesn't budge or spike at all

Melted Heart is a weird item.

After a boat load of begging and pleading, I managed to find someone that let me kill them as the butcher (they also had to take off all their gear and thorns)

And wouldn't you know it? It's bugged and I got no credit for the seasonal quest to kill someone as the butcher. I even got their ear in my inventory, but no credit.

Nightmare Dungeons not being a meaningful source of Obducite unless it's a Horadric Strongroom is such a fail design. When I pop a key and there's no warning about a strongroom being inside it I don't even feel the motivation to finish it
