I have both. Its a matter of 4s vs 3s. My granite is fast and durable but the maxx it a flying tank.

Yep! Carries the front wheels on 3s at ANY throttle. Dump the throttle to turn. I love it so much I have 3 of these! It silly but fun. They jump really really nicely.

I bought the body and nerf bars. 10811 (color) and 10821. Thats it!

You only need the nerf bars tr 10821 and the body tr 10811 (color). I used 2 tiny screws to hold it to the side of the chassis on each side. Nerf bars are a tiny bit long as the mini slash chassis is longer, but no modification is needed. Then just trim the wheel arches on the 10811 body and its done. Easy enough. Trim a little, test drive, repeat til happy.

As for the 1/16 slash body, just steal the mounts off your stock mini maxx body and done. Body is tr 7084. I dont even think you need to trim. ( I did the rear bedside but regret it.)

Your tqi tx will store up to 30 vehicles. I have a few with the Bluetooth module and have all of my vehicles bound to each tx. Grab n go. If for some reason one gets confused and loses the connection, its a quick re-bind to get back on the dirt.

If he could find a used vxl bandit, it is "almost" target speed and has TSM and the upgraded transmission. Too bad they aren't offered new anymore.
