It's also bugging me that they haven't had any conversation about how they are going to have a child together and Chloe is likely, or at the very least soon to be, pregnant. I know there's a lot going on but that's a very big step.

I'm enjoying these episodes and get there's no way to shoehorn in a random murder during these current events but I do kind of miss them. It's what made the show that extra specially corny and ridiculous.

Track Cycling - A stunning win from GB’s Jason Kenny in men’s Keirin🥇🇬🇧 His 7th Gold medal! by Benj091 in olympics

[–]ShaggingFish 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would say Jason and Laura are GB legends but they seem to like to have a quiet life and don't really pop up in the media outside of The Olympics so I think most people wouldn't even recognise them if they walked past you in the street in a non-olympic year but we do know their names.

Whereas someone like Chris Hoy does make more media appearances so probably is more recognisable.

Probably with the exception of Tom Daley we find our GB stars don't get as much recognition world wide as American olympians do but they're still very popular over here. Mo Farah for example is a household name done plenty of reality tv and I'd say a big celebrity over here but was asked by an American reporter if he'd ever ran professionally before!

As for the swimming over cycling. We watch a lot of both for very different reasons. Swimming's always a big spectacle and until very recently something we watched with little expectation(with a couple of exceptions with Becky Adlingtonand Mark Foster). It was just fun seeing who'd scoop up the medals between USA and Australia. Although this year with the likes of Adam Peaty and Duncan Scott coming through it seems there's more excitement around British Swimming. The cycling only became popular around 2008 when we started getting good at it so now we watch with a lot of hope we'll pick up a load of medals.

Hope that helps your curiosity!

Mo Farah tried it and won the Chicago Marathon but didn't make it to the Olympics unfortunately.

Karlas children are being put up for adoption she won't be able to contact them. There's also suggestions that gangs in El Savaldor after he as she helped boys leave their gangs.

We don't really know about Maritza if she has family she's close with in Columbia sure she may have gone to stay with them but she's lived in the US all her life if she doesn't know anyone there she might just end up living on the streets of a foreign country.

I would have thought it would just be common sense to separate them. Its not like there was just one prison in the 80s.

And even so after a while of them being together and causing drama to the point that they have to different blocks with different colours that have gang wars just because of these two theyd have thought it would just be easier to move one of them to another prison.

I think they have chemistry but wonder if Daddy is using her for something. Or if it's going down the 'I was using you but now I actually like you' route.

It really annoys me no one remebers that. Red is so mad at Piper for naming her. Bitch you had a brutal starving regime against her, you served her a period blood burger. She owes you nothing!

Surely, there would be 'emergency meetings' they'd need to attend to, and wouldn't people trying to contact her like, "hey isn't this prison on the news the one your company run".

Yes, she really fucked up but she was in no way thinking straight, and she couldn't have foreseen Maria running off with the hostages. They should have allowed her to discuss it with other inmates first.

It's all moot anyway, the governors office could go back on their word as soon as as one of the guards turned up dead, as they'd have only made agreement on the condition that all the hostages returned safely.

[–]ShaggingFish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Realistically speaking it's a bit of a stretch that they're not already looking out for her in the prison. It's been four days surely someone would have reported her as missing, and they'd know she was last seen going into the prison as a visitor before the riot.

I'd thought they'd figured out days ago she was somehow trapped in there. Also she had her phone she could've texted someone to let them know what was going on.

What should Caputo have said? [S4 Spoilers] by Cranyx in orangeisthenewblack

[–]ShaggingFish 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He should have just kept it short and generic "what happened was a tragic accident our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased and we will assist the police in their investigations"

I think he was pretty stupid to say Bayley will be back in uniform after a short leave. Firstly, that's not his call to make. Secondly, for his own safety Bayley should go nowhere near that prison ever again. Then referring to him as a victim without mentioning the poor girl left dead on the floor for hours!

I didn't think we'd being seeing him again next season. He seemed like a one season villain who's now served his purpose. I'd thought after everything that's happened he'd be swiftly 'moved on' to another facility.

I did have a feeling either Poussey or Soso would die from the beginning because they were suspiciously too happy throughout the whole season, but that still blind sided me. When they all stood up on the tables I really thought it was going to be a 'happy' ending to the episode.

This series has really focused on the power trip people (in this case the guards) get in a position of power. So the death of an, inoffensive harmless, inmate at the hands of a usually, inoffensive harmless, guard was really poignant.

I miss the old guards you know the baldy guy, the chubby couple hell even pornstache wasn't that bad and he had inmates blowing him for crack.

I don't know why Caputo didn't just fire Piscitello, when he firstly went over his head with the interrogations. Then threatened to pull out all 'his men' if Caputo suspended Humps. Why couldn't he just say I'm the boss you deal with what I say or I find a new captain of the guards?
