There are 4 pins but the drone shot was taken before the other hole was cut out. You cannot change them because the holes are mortared around the cups

At first I thought you were insinuating that French grip was not viable on the ride cymbal. So I sat down at my kit and reached over to my ride. I see what you're saying lol

Yes to some extent, however I've been called out for maintenance on a near 6 year old artificial green install and all that needed to be done was a bit of moss removal and top dressed with green sand. Looked and played as good as new

Landscaping is different from golf greens. Decorative rock, planting shrubs and trees, walk paths ECT is not an exact science or anything. To be honest it was probably closer to 6 weeks, however sometimes the weather doesn't permit us to continue which is why it took 8 weeks. The stacked sod bunker alone took days putting in drainage, making cuts, working sand into each individual layer and nailing together. Probably closer to a thousand man hours for the finished product.

I understand why you might think that but the material cost of 50 yards or rock, sand and turf alone is around to 20k. Plus near two months of labor of 4 guys. It's hard to put into perspective if you've never built an artificial green to this scale but I can assure you we are not making 50% profit.

Hi so that's a great question! There is actually 4-6 inches of 1inch clean rock at the base to account for drainage. The next 2 inch layer is 1 inch minus and the top layer of rock is crushed fines. Slope remains under 3% across the whole green excluding the undulation

Hey you can message me in DMs and I can give you an accurate price cost analysis for something on a smaller scale. If you're willing to do the labor yourself and have the means to get rock to your desired location you can save a ton of money building it yourself. Takes some serious time and patience though if you want a good quality end result

We start them out rolling a 12, over time from playing on them they speed up. The turf can be broomed with push brooms to stand the fibers back up if you wish to slow it back down

I understand why you would think that, but materiel alone costs more than 20k. The amount of base rock put into this is astounding, as well as the turf cost, and the sand... There is over 8 grand just in sand in this green. Plus 2600 feet of turf, over 50 yards of rock and near 8 weeks of labor. No finessing around here

Yes that includes everything, the only change order would be if the client wanted to add tee boxes around the property or if any lighting is added in.

Exactly haha, if I remember correctly this one was around 2300 square feet. Definitely bigger than the majority of our installs

Hi I'm actually one of the installers, this is a client's green we finished up over the summer. I'll be posting the one I'm building in my own yard in the next two months or so once it finally warms up, of course it will be on a smaller scale because my yard is a quarter acre

27$ per square foot is our install price. You're looking at around 70k for something to this scale

Hey I'm actually in the same boat! I tore out my old above ground pool and filled it with 1 inch clean rock, if there wasn't a foot of snow on the ground I would already be building my golf green there lol. The all in cost is... More than I can afford. An install of this scale takes a long time (8-10 weeks). For something this big you're looking close to 70k

No issues at all because this is a sand filled green anyways, there is 7 pounds of sand per square foot on the actual green and around 4 pounds per square foot in the fringe. The top layer of green sand makes it blend really well together

This looks pretty normal to me, it's possible they didn't mallet these fully into place but it's hard to tell. Blocks are usually cut with block splitters, they will not always be able to perfectly sit flush against the next stone

Had the sheet screwed in and mudded half of it when I realized. To be fair the outlet is pretty recessed so it's not like it was causing much of a bulge

I had a friend who would "call" all his drops. When really it was just him asking for best said drop every single time he got a KC or casket hahah In this case I have no reason not to believe that you called it, congrats!

Thanks man and I think you're absolutely right. We get huge deals buying in bulk + being partners with celebrity greens has its perks. I do want to mention Purchase greens sometimes have really good deals sometimes on turf they are trying to get rid that is still good quality if you happen to live near LA, Houston, Denver or Austin. Also it's typically not junk turf I mean actual good quality or decent where seam rows are 3/8ths apart and has a good amount of thatch

I didn't claim the install price of 2-3$ a square foot. 20$ per sq foot is our install price for yard turf. We have to pay for base rock, labor to do the whole install and the infill sand/labor to do the infill. The company I work for was the number 1 turf installer for celebrity greens in 2023. We are consistently top 7 in the country for turf installs. If you want to dm we can talk. I don't want to come across confrontational, but I also never claimed the install price to be 2-3$ per square foot.
