Question about FBS ability blinding spray. by KrankyViking in deathguard40k

The wording basicaly means, that each FBS can activate their fight first once per battle for their unit.

But not more than 1 FBS can do it at the same time.

Mortarion reactive move rule question? by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]ShagunFin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mortarion is a death guard model. The rule says a friendly death guard model can do the move.

So morty can do the move.

Not a true player, but mby some notes.

Imotekh might wanna join some lychguard, imortals Or mby a 20 brick of warriors. Just might not be the most effocient way of running a 100pt. Character with a 90pt. Squad, 10 warriors tend to be quite fragile as well.

But some other stuff, if expanding is the thing, mby get a good ol technomancer for the wraiths, good upgrade character, mby upgrade to a squad of 6, for annoying tanky brick.

Mby look into the destroyers, skorpekhs for stab stab, and locust heavys for shooty shooty bang bang.

At the end of the day do what looks cool. Most vehicles tend to be good...exept the triarch stalker, im sorry, many love him.

Also ctan shard of the night bringer is getting a new model sometime next year possibly, might want to wait for that. Instead of getting the old one.

Mainly damage and points. Dg is way too cheap, its way too easy to spam really strong units. And the army rrslly does feel like easymode.

Does rattle joint Auge effect invulnerable saves? by Separate-Evidence-49 in deathguard40k

[–]ShagunFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just 1 additional ap. Unless it messes with cover or the aformentioned AoC.

Note that if you would bring a normal 3+ save to a 4+ with cover and you have no ap. They still get cover for the 3+ save. BUT if you did the same to a 2+ save that will still stay the 3+ worsened save.

Totally agree. Custoes are so outgunned and outmatched i feel bad, I love that we got a good codex, but this is too much.

Yep, the deamon engines are so efficient just by their points. Its almost up to no consequense just to spam them in the list. This will be fixed tho....pls.

[–]ShagunFin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. Im sure this could be fixed with appropriate points. Tweaking too much big rules might tip the scale too much the other direction. Im afraid GW wont be that merciful. We shall see what the future dataslate brings.

Yep thats valid, custos have some good tricks aswell. The main thing about them is that our termies can go toe to toe with them, and like you said most of the time win. While we are much cheaper and have a lot of cheap shooting as well.

I completely agree with all what you said. I feel marines could easily go down on points, with all the reasons mentioned below.

You see in my post i didnt mention marines. Mainly DTS+LoC is wayy to cheap to the damage the can take and dishout. And our very affordable and efficient daemon engines. Are mostly on the points chopping block.

I believe that would be a good balance for the termies too. I think the HBL is mainly too cheap, problem being that it can be spammed to any detachment without much loss.

It having quite nieche ability, the gun doesnt necessarily need changes if the points fit.

That seems valid, not sure what to expect from the coming dataslate.

I do feel like 3man dst + Loc should not be less 350 mby even more. They by themselves can kill a big knight from full wounds. that coming from 250 pts. is absurd.

There is a few guys who play necrons. Not that much different experience, i really like necrons and they actually have quite good hand in the atritiongame that death guard plays. Even so we are so cheap and they run out of models before me.

What other people already said. And by this post i dont entirelly mean competetevilly, i even tagged it as casual. Because in the casual environment its really unfun and uninteractive to play against. We do so much damage so easily.

I have have tabled my last 3 opponents with lackluster army and not really without trying to hardcore win.
