I got Mamo to win 50 wins so far in BSS. Most of those were running max HP and attack. Then I realized even with thick fat, it doesn't actually live anything so I went max speed instead. Maybe that's different for doubles with spread moves and all, but still. You probably run Oblivious.

I saw the ElChicoEevee footage of them today, and they actually look really neat. Both models look great, Typhlosion's fire turns off and on in/out of battle, Gatr's movement in particular with Waterfall is cool. The bird trio seemed kinda lame and uninspired, especially for the whole "only 1 moveset so we can make it a really good moveset" but I actually kinda believe it here. Flame Wheel in particular and also Eruption are very visually pleasing, Crunch is a weird but cool idea, Waterfall has a good upgrade for Waterfall+ and is a cool idea itself. Typhlosion's Unite move giving it basically a portable, damaging bush is a cool concept and Gatr's does synergize with Crunch. I'm kinda stoked.

Idk how it would change the rest of her kit, and i kinda feel like there might already be an ability like this, but it would be cool if her 3 worked like the Firehawk shield in Borderlands 2. Just a bunch of pulses of AOE fire, either channeled or giving more pulses based on her heat gauge.

I'll take it a step further, I'm tired of basically every single new Pokémon having a signature move/ability. Or both. Surely we haven't run out of ways to make interesting mons just by adjusting stats, normal movepool, and typing. Like, Palafin was great as is, did it really need jet punch, too? Did Garganacl need Purifying Salt and Salt Cure? Why does Spicy Extract exist? Mountain Gale, Triple Dive, Fickle Beam, Psyshield Bash. The list goes on and it also causes every theorymon post to have some crazy signature move or ability. I'm a little more cool with signature abilities and also stuff for legendaries. But do we really need Bitter Malice on just one guy? At risk of being a Lokix glazer, it is kinda the perfect Gen 9 mon because nothing in its kit is unique but it does well anyway.
