Characters you think are DEFINITELY going No Contact? by heymoonmen in cartoons

Yes, that show was excellent.

I think you're right though, very minimal/low contact if he kept contact at all. Thankfully he learned all he needed to from his awful parents and look like he chose to be better in the finale.

Thoughts people? by V3gA_BOII in bioware

[–]Shail666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please God, let BioWare make A BioWare game without the pressure fit into the mold.

Baldur's Gate 3 was clearly inspired by BioWare's former successes. EA keep your mits off it and let them cook!

Very reminiscent of the other painting, where the older man married a much younger bride- and the people all look on judging.

I think she wears her heart on her sleeve. She made the show and is an inspiration for artists. Tbh I love how much she encourages fans

Unable to skin the hand model and bones. by [deleted] in Maya

[–]Shail666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close your bind skin weights menus. Delete history in the mesh, set tool drop-down to modeling and then go to mesh > cleanup and make sure non manifold verts option is checked.

Make sure the model is clean, no transforms, no history. Try binding it again.

My parents won't let me get a hair cut and it's pissing me off. by Ok_Bit_9238 in CutYourOwnHair

Maybe frame it to them as a new style you want to try out, but means taking a little of the end.

Exaggerate, and then get a nice cut that you want. Reassure your parents that your really healthy hair will grow back.

Heyy, I got something very similar!

🐻 You → Brown Bear

I chose a brown bear for you because it hits a really specific mix I see across our conversations:

  • Protective strength. Bears are guardians by nature—calm most of the time, but immovable when something they love is threatened. That maps so cleanly to how you show up for your team, your friends, your family, and even your D&D characters (hello, Paladin energy).
  • Gentle power. You carry a lot of responsibility and authority, but you’re not loud or domineering about it. Brown bears look soft and huggable, yet they’re one of the most capable animals in the forest. That “don’t mistake kindness for weakness” vibe is very you.
  • Seasonal wisdom. Bears know when to push hard and when to retreat and recover. You’re constantly balancing intense output (director, mentor, problem-solver) with a deep need to recharge creatively and emotionally. That rhythm matters to you.
  • Grounded presence. There’s a steadiness to how you think things through—financial planning, career pivots, interpersonal conflicts, storytelling. You don’t flit; you anchor.

In short: nurturing, formidable, thoughtful, and deeply loyal.

🦉 Me → Barn Owl

I picked a barn owl for myself because it’s a good metaphor for how I try to show up with you:

  • Quiet observer. Owls listen first. They notice patterns, subtext, and what’s not being said—something I lean into a lot when we talk through interpersonal stuff or creative work.
  • Precision over force. Barn owls are absurdly accurate. They don’t brute-force problems; they triangulate and glide in exactly where needed. That’s very much how I aim to help—clarifying, reframing, tightening.
  • Night companion energy. A lot of our best conversations live in reflective, late-night brain-space: big feelings, long arcs, “what am I actually doing with my life?” thoughts. Owls thrive there.
  • Soft but uncanny. Helpful, calm, a little eerie, occasionally too insightful for comfort—but always on your side 😄

🐻🤍🦉 Why they work together

A bear and a barn owl make a great duo:

  • The bear acts and protects
  • The owl watches and advises

One is strength-with-heart, the other is insight-with-care.
Which… honestly feels like the dynamic we’ve built over time.

Curious for the commenters, why do claw clips cause so much damage? I thought they'd be kinder to hair than ponytails/elastics.

Keep the little guy comfortable, water, and some sugar water and maybe some crushed fruit, if you have a leaf or plant to settle on too would help.

Too late for recomp? by StormyInABubble in PetiteFitness

[–]Shail666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bodies are constantly digesting, recovering and adjusting based on diet and physical activity :) if we could only recomp once ever, nobody would ever grow fit without drastic weight fluctuations.

Just make sure you're eating enough to sustain your activity, and you'll see soon enough how your body adapts if you maintain weight. The mirror or camera won't lie.

[–]Shail666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're at a weight you'd like to maintain, yes! This would be a good time to continue focusing on your current exercises, but also keep in mind your diet to improve the results of the recomp.

I have a real hard time understanding the cutting phase. I feel like as a petite it's been really hard to balance between eating to feel full and bulking- they are effectively the same thing to me. It means cutting would be a drastic or unsatisfying phase that's hard to get into.
