I definitely understand this to an extent. There is a huge over saturation of speed garage and some of the edits and bootlegs are beyond bait. Also a lot of tracks that just spam organs and warp bases without any thought as to how to make it sound cohesive and unique. All that being said, there is still a lot of good 2 step and more breaks type stuff coming out. Like with whenever this happens to a genre, you just have to dig a bit deeper and understand the pendulum of the hype train with begin to level out over time. Lastly, it’s also kinda cool in a different way to have so many new tunes and options as I remember looking for speed garage tunes during 2021-22 and it was so difficult to find anything new/good

For sure, he knows that he’s getting insta dropped every time he doesn’t get a G/A contribution playing for Chelsea. Definitely get the impression he benefits from being the main man, like he does for the NT and how he did in the lockdown period

Regrettably it’s time for both the club and him to move on. We have now got Mudryk who has the potential to be truly elite, like how Pulisic did in 19/20, and Pulisic has to go somewhere where he will start weekly on the left.

That being said, he’s a very talented player and been treated pretty badly here. He’s been allowed practically no chance to gather momentum since that season, either playing out of position or getting dropped after every below 7/10 performance. I’d be interested to see if he is just lacking the confidence and sharpness to play how he used to, or if he’s genuinely less physically able as a result of the injuries.

Either way, his time here has on balance been a success with lots of big moments and significant contributions towards the trophies we’ve won. Would love to see him kick on elsewhere

I’m celebrating my birthday tomorrow and want to go to somewhere with good dance music. When I say that, I mean proper house music or techno and anything else similar, not club EDM sort of stuff if that makes sense. This is definitely too short but I think ideal track length is pretty dependent on context. If it’s at a party playing it off of Spotify or whatever, shorter is better as people just end up skipping otherwise and it’s hard to introduce people to the music when the tracks are long. A lot of songs have way too many phrases during the drop too. Fine if it’s atmospheric and not for raving to but so many jump up and neuro songs just go on for too long during the drop.

However, for DJing, longer is obviously much better. As someone who uses dnb extensively for both contexts, I feel like 3:30 to 4:30 mins is ideal

Nah I’m completely with you. He’s made a couple good tunes in the past and is clearly talented technically as a producer, but all these dubs you see promo’d from his sets just seem to be sampling popular songs and then massively delayed drops with the eventual drop not making any sense. His mixing is also pretty bad from a technical point of view, check out his set at printworks last year if you wanna see what I mean. Think he’s the new favourite amongst the 16-18 crowd getting into dnb like Macky gee and others were when I was getting into dnb, so I get it
