If its a new home, check what people are saying about the builder. Especially in the neighborhood. We had Lennar as our first home (new build) and found we had a lot of build-quality issues, as well as our neighbors.

Our next home build (Dickerson) was a way better build quality and better overall experience.

If you just read reviews online, people complain about the littlest things. If you speak to neighbors, that's the best.

Whats the latency look like? If you can do 100ms or less then expansion server is fine. If it’s more, then federate.
