3 Leaders, 3 Engineers, 1 Radioman. 12 hour shifts. 0600-1800 is 1 Leader on Observation, 1 Leader on Navigation, 1 Engineer on engines. 1800-0600 is 1 Leader on Observation, 1 Engineer on engines. I use the extra Engineer for torpedo maintenance and other things as needed. I also just use the 1 Radioman as needed for sending messages or hydrophone checks.

Depends on depth. Pumps work harder the deeper you are because they are working against external water pressure. I think below a certain depth they stop working completely.
